Mitt Romney, the GOP’s 2012 nominee, is among those courting prospects for a possible third-party bid to keep Donald Trump from the White House, according to a Washington Post report .
Among those prospects are Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), one of Trump’s most vocal Republican critics, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who suspended his presidential campaign in early May.
Kasich’s chief strategist John Weaver said the governor isn’t interested in running an an independent.
A Sasse spokesman declined to comment.
But it’s not looking to good for a late in the game third-party bid, according to the report.
Deadlines have passed to get on the ballot in big states like Texas, though organizers argue a legal challenge there would be successful.
He is only doing this, because he wants Clinton to win. So yes, this confirms Bilderberger conspiracy theories. No rational so called conservative can justify intentionally losing an election to Clinton.
That is the bottom line.
If Trump wins the elections, the GOP belongs to him. That is what these evil clowns are afraid of. Trump will flush most of them down the toilet, because he knows what a POS looks like from a mile away. Then he will bring in his own team that will expose all of them as the amateur frauds that they always were.

Trump ran on the Reform Party ticket in 2000 and dropped out well before November.

Romney is all about ROMNEY..he can give a rats behind about this country..he blew the 2012 election because he wanted to. He had the election won, after the first debate it looked all over for Obama, but Romney tanked, why, because he wanted to. As bad as Obama is, and he is HORRIBLE, everything Obama has done Romney would have done the exact same thing, they are both from the same liberal breed. Romney wants Trump to lose so that he wouldn’t look like the biggest douche bag on the planet
Trump is a genius. He’s managed to alienate the last GOP Nominee yet still do so much better than they did in the primaries.
Seriously, what are most people going to think about a loser of the last presidential election. They think Loser.
He had one very visible moment of self doubt that cost him the election — not challenging Candy Crowly right then and there on stage when she interjected that Obama was correct during the last debates.
Trump, it would have been reflex. Case closed.
A contested convention isn’t going to happen.
Trump will have an absolute majority and he can write the convention rules, the platform and install his own people in the RNC.
Its done.
And talk of a third party run will remain just that - talk.
