Stone: Even If Trump Wins 1,237 Delegates, Cruz Could Use "Procedural" Means To take...

Trump strategist Roger Stone tells NJ 101.5 radio that even if Donald Trump wins a majority of pledged delegates to the Republican convention, Cruz will utilize "Trojan horse" delegates (who are bound to vote for Trump only on the first RNC nomination ballot) to vote on "procedural" matters in the Rules Committee or Credentials committee to block or disallow certain votes.

ROGER STONE: Unfortunately just because Donald Trump gets the 1,237 [delegates needed to win], doesn't mean we aren't going to have a brokered convention. My sources, who are pretty good in the Republican Party, indicate to me that Ted Cruz intends to work a "rules strategy" to try to euchre this nomination away from Donald Trump.

In kind of a shady, using political trickery and so on, utilizing these Trojan Delegates we have been talking about -- Where Trump delegates, from the results of the primary -- those seats are filled with non-Trump voters, non-Trump supporters who will vote against Trump on procedural issues in either rules or credentials that could be used to take away his majority.

More lies about Ted Cruz.

Bad analogy with 1860. They didn’t even have primaries or caucuses until the 1900s and even then, it wasn’t until the modern era that they played a major role.

Apples and Oranges.

However, Cruz would love the old system of nominating presidential candidates - when reg’lar folk didn’t have a say and decisions were made in smoky back rooms.

Cruz has not orchestrating any of this in a vacuum. Some of these players are the remains of Romneybots & Bushbots from the last 15 years. Ted would not be able to pursue all of his escapades from within his own campaign. And he can get financial help from many interested parties.

We have new globalist players who have entered the foray that have great motivation to sway our control this election and that $$ already is in his bank.

We have the Norquist muslim objectors and the Mexican objectors to Trump due to his declaration to restore US sovereignty. Their support would favor Cruz to the last minute or dime if he can beat Trump. Then it would flip to Hellery.

“Trump gets the 1237 he’s the nominee no questions asked.”

How will you know that Trump has surpassed 1237 before the actual vote? Remember the unpledged. Cruz will try every trick in the book.

It’s own the agenda for the RNC Rules party meeting today and Friday.

Whether they accept this is a whole other story, but he is trying.

I knew you’ll try to use the republic excuse. If only that was true. We don’t have representatives that represent the people though. That’s like a dictator claiming they’re a republic because representatives that were never elected picked him

Anyone who wanted to participate in the Colorado selection process could

You mean anyone who didn't have to work between 7:30pm - 9:00pm on a Tuesday night, or had to put schoolchildren to bed, or was asleep because they work graveyard shifts, could participate.

Well, if Trump gets to 1237 and we find out he didn’t get the nomination, then I’ll get angry.

I refuse to get in a foamed mouth frenzy just because someone claims something might happen. This nonsense has to stop!! I’m so done with both these candidates and their supporters. Yes, I back Cruz over Trump for the nomination. But I refuse to let innuendo and claims and tabloid trash work me into a lather!!

Each man has the right to state their case and work for delegates within the rules established by the GOP whether we like the rules or not. Neither man is the anti Christ . They’re both flawed human beings fighting for a prize which only one will get. And, at least for now, it looks like it’ll be Trump.

I have no doubt the GOP isn’t fond of a Trump nomination. The dirty little secret is they feel the same way towards Cruz

sometimes it takes effort to participate. There were no locks on the doors keeping people out. A lot of states have evening caucuses

Honestly I think Roger STone is just trying to keep the hysteria ginned up. Donald Trump also has people on the rules committee. Its not just Crazy Ted.

Ted Cruz over the next several weeks IMO is going to be so marginalized that if he does not heed calls to drop out he will become hated and vilified by the republican voting base who want to coalesce around Trump and get this nomination over with. We need to move and Ted Cruz and John Kasich need to accept it.

well seeing as he has only won 3 states out side his own where the voters actually vote then it does not make cruz strong what so ever to face Clinton.

The man is delusional if he thinks that he can bribe delegates and ignores the voters who actually vote in a general that it will make him win.

Someone needs to remind Cruz that in a general the voters vote and you can’t bribe delegates to win.
Seeing as he can’t get more than 4 states to vote for him then his chances are about to slim and on Mars.

Indeed.
One cannot say bring the party together and keep ignoring the wishes of the voters while laying off delegates.
It leaves a disgusting tone to the voters who will be voting in a general election.

Poppycock.

Cruz is already think about how to do that.
thinking

And, he thinking how he will defeat Trump on the second ballot, since Trump will fail to hit 1237 on the first.

RE: Yep, Roger Stone Trump’s sleazy henchman.

What ever happened to Roger Stone’s allegations that Cruz has five mistresses? (published by the National Enquirer).

That’s been over two months now.

Only two women’s names were “outed” and both denied it.

What about the rest?

It’s not apple and oranges.

You had a leading candidate whom had a HUGE lead, almost 2 to 1, hailing from New York, whom got his rear handed to him.

Once again, we are not a democracy, we are a republic. Delegates are what win the game.

If you have a problem with that, do you have a problem with Bush winning in 2000?

How about a problem with Trump winning 100% of the delegates in Florida with less than 40% of the popular vote...?
