Congratulations to our presumptive nominee, Donald Trump!
Great job in New York and throughout this campaign. Cruz and Kasich are now mathematically eliminated and just like all the others who were mathematically eliminated should concede and drop out so we can all unite behind our nominee and prepare to defeat the godless America-hating traitor Hillary Clinton in November.
As conservatives and patriots, it's time to put bruised egos behind us, heal our differences and act united in the best interests of our nation. The media and the GOPe will try to keep us divided, of course, but we must not fall for their treasonous tricks.
A divided Republican party will ensure Hillary waltzes into the White House in November.
Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. Hillary would be a third term for Obama and would complete his mission of completely destroying America.
Do not let freedom expire on our watch!!
I'm praying this forum and our loyal members will now be shifting into high gear to defend our freedom by uniting against the treasonous enemy within.
Let's get Trump over the 1237 mark and finally take the GOPe completely out of the picture!!
Then onward to the presidency in November!!
Cruz brought Roberts in during the Bush recount and into the Bush sphere. He wrote an endorsement of Roberts supporting the nominations and praised Roberts during school lectures.
OK, fine, but he still wasn’t his first choice.
Let’s rewind a few years... very few conservatives expressed any doubts about him. None were psychic. I was honestly shocked at his heinous judicial betrayal and still wonder whether he was blackmailed.
Thanks, Radix. That’s good to know. I wasn’t aware of that.
My original comment was a reply re nominations and the importance of Cruz. Cruz & ‘conservatives’ are not always that loyal to us. Look at Souter & Roberts. Heck, it was a conservative appointed Supreme Court that gave us abortion on demand.
Cruz may or may not be different; but based on the original love for Roberts...
Actually, it pretty much is.
How about socialist RINO dirtbags!?
How do you like me now?
Thanks :)
How simultaneously verbose and meaningless...
I have yet to have a single Cruz fanboy present anything resembling a scenario where Ted Cruz limps into the nomination with, at best, 700 delegates or so, and then, magically, seizes the nomination from Trump without destroying everything.
The only possible result is that Cruz would:
Is Ted Cruz insane? Is he really willing to sacrifice not only his party, but also the country, on the altar of his own personal ambition?
There is simply no realistic scenario, in this particular cycel, for anything positive to come out of a contested convention. Absolutely none.
If you disagree, then, by all means, state your case, which must consist of something beyond wishful thinking and believing in unicorns which fart skittles.
You cannot. The fact is, there is no such case. What I've cited above is Ted Cruz's best case scenario.
Ted Cruz has become the caricature of an arrogant, conceited, self-righteous politician.
If their positions were reversed, I would be calling for Donald Trump to step aside in the interests of both the party and the country. That would represent integrity, statesmanship, and love of country.
Looking at reality and logical consequences, anyone with an ounce of integrity, intellectual honesty, or true patriotism would be advising Ted Cruz to do the same.
Ted Cruz's egotism and malignant narcissism make Donald Trumps ostensible character deficits pale in comparison. Is Ted Cruz literally insane?
Apparently Ted Cruz sees this process as some kind of dice game, and is willing to gamble his party's and his country's entire future on his own unrealistic selfishness.
It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious.
Go in peace...
Vote Trump
The only implacable reality is that you can't answer a cogent question about your candidate's narcissistic fixation with risking the future of both his party and his country on the nothingburger that is his candidacy, and his irrational desire to artificially and illegitimately dominate a process at which he has failed miserably.
As I suspected, there simply is no satisfactory response to my challenge.
Ted Cruz's best case scenario (winning the GOP nomination at a contested convention at which he arrives with no more than 700 or so delegates) sees him:
That, and nothing conceivably more, is all that Ted Cruz and his fanboys aspire to...
Vote Trump
Just ran across this thread...
Big thumbs up Bump!
Will increase my Monthly soon to help cover our losses here...

It should also be unnecessary to repeatedly point out that loyalty is a two-way street. The real reason Cruz would be dividing the party is because Trump supporters will not support his candidacy if he is nominated. There is no other explanation. The division will have occurred not because of Cruz who is behaving the same way Republican candidates have behaved since and including Abraham Lincoln, the division will occur because of Donald Trump the man and the kind of campaign he has conducted. It is Trump, not Cruz, who wants to junk the rules in the name of loyalty but the unilateral demand is really in the name of the ego of The Donald.
Trump supporters demand that Cruz and his supporters surrender their cherished values, out of "loyalty." Because we refuse to do so, because we play the game by the rules and expect to win or lose according to the rules, we are told that we are "irrational."
There are many "insane" delegates who will be at the convention who cannot stomach Donald Trump as their nominee. They are authorized under certain circumstances by the venerable and prudent rules of the convention to express their independent judgment with their votes. You expect them to surrender those values on behalf of Donald Trump but you selfishly decline to grant them the same loyalty. You want to change the rules of representative democracy modeled after the United States Constitution and federal system, to please Donald Trump and his followers.
You demand "loyalty" when your candidate darkly warns of violence at the convention if he is not nominated.
Loyalty for me but not for thee.
Trump is definitely not a narcissist. He’s very confident and has a very healthy ego. From his successes. Socially and in business. Trump is not a perfect guy but he is 100% more genuine than Ted Cruz. Cruz has to obfuscate and deny all the time. He lies on camera about things that are provably false in one quick google search.
You are so smart and so knowledgable. But maybe you don’t have good “spitzengefuhl” for a person’s psyche. You find your problems with Donald Trump’s character and not Ted Cruz’s, even as both of theirs have been on display both these past months and especially in Trump’s case from way back.
I took Cruz’s character for granted at the beginning of the campaign season. I believed he was a deeply devout practicing Christian and a servant of our Constitution. Now it is evident I was very wrong about that. He is acting like a lawyer. Twisting and turning evidence to avoid bumping up against laws, parsing to make himself look better, and the aforementioned lying outright. At minimum he spent a lot of alone time late at night with that Amanda woman, which does not fit the character he tries to portray. No one working with him has any affection for him. He does not tithe and appears not to give much to any community. He has an Asperger’s like cluelessness of how he appears to others.
Trump’s character has been that of a brash businessman, a confident hale fellow well met, a ladies’ man, and a straight forward honest manner. While he does attempt to put himself in the best light, he has a limit after which he assumes people can handle him the way he is. He has the kind of NY attitude I grew up with on the West Coast among Jewish friends and family. He is known for doing quiet acts of generosity. His character appears harsher and ruder but he is actually kinder and more sincere, just after watching them both all season.
Cruz doesn’t have a genuine bone in his body. He hides all of his dirtier sides, like his eligibility (he may be eligible but he was only Canadian on paper until he was 16), the Goldman Sachs stuff, and any inconvenient political history. Trump is mostly forthright about these things.
Cruz wears the mantle of conservative and Christian, but without more than lip service to either cloak. Trump doesn’t. He is what you see is what you get.
Anytime I see someone use the divisive term GOPe, I really lose a lot of respect for them. Say Republican establishment if thats what you mean, instead of making up an insulting term. Ironically, you call for unity while using a divisive term. That sounds more like a gloating call for surrender than a true call to unity.
Again, how is it divisive?
Check this out where TBP is congratulating the people of Pakistan for their “Islamic missile” tests. Please note, this press release was written by TBP for the Council of Khalistan, a dubious foreign outfit in DC.
