It's is morally and politically unsupportable to demand others surrender their most cherished ethical values in the name of loyalty to a common cause when you yourself withhold that loyalty.

How simultaneously verbose and meaningless...

I have yet to have a single Cruz fanboy present anything resembling a scenario where Ted Cruz limps into the nomination with, at best, 700 delegates or so, and then, magically, seizes the nomination from Trump without destroying everything.

The only possible result is that Cruz would:

There is simply no other plausible scenario.

Is Ted Cruz insane? Is he really willing to sacrifice not only his party, but also the country, on the altar of his own personal ambition?

There is simply no realistic scenario, in this particular cycel, for anything positive to come out of a contested convention. Absolutely none.

If you disagree, then, by all means, state your case, which must consist of something beyond wishful thinking and believing in unicorns which fart skittles.

You cannot. The fact is, there is no such case. What I've cited above is Ted Cruz's best case scenario.

Ted Cruz has become the caricature of an arrogant, conceited, self-righteous politician.

If their positions were reversed, I would be calling for Donald Trump to step aside in the interests of both the party and the country. That would represent integrity, statesmanship, and love of country.

Looking at reality and logical consequences, anyone with an ounce of integrity, intellectual honesty, or true patriotism would be advising Ted Cruz to do the same.

Ted Cruz's egotism and malignant narcissism make Donald Trumps ostensible character deficits pale in comparison. Is Ted Cruz literally insane?

Apparently Ted Cruz sees this process as some kind of dice game, and is willing to gamble his party's and his country's entire future on his own unrealistic selfishness.

It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious.

Go in peace...

Vote Trump

The implacable reality: You cannot demand loyalty from those to whom you deny loyalty.

Even Shaffly supports Trump. And so do many staunch conservatives. But the Cruz supporters place conservatism above patriotism.

This forum united against McCain. We united against Romney. Even though they ended up winning.

So please ask yourself why we don’t unite against Trump? In fact it’s the opposite: most FRiends suppport Trump.

I refuse to believe that this forumn is ‘ill informed’. An open convention is a huge gamble. The stakes are too high, and the philosophy driving this ultimate craps game is now a religion — idolatry.

And the funniest thing?

Cruz isn’t even eligibible. Churchill was more eligible. No constititutional amendment ever redifined natural born status.
