Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

Agree. Cruz is working for every delegate he can get and everyone matters at this stage.
Trump has never been in a campaign like this and does not have the leadership in place to run a campaign against Senator Cruz and it is showing by the way he is conducting himself. Holding these big rallies will be his down fall. He has to get in the trenches. Handing out free ball caps and Tshirt will not win votes
Not to worry—New Yorkers are not so easily fooled.
The Texas Canadian is going down!
But Trump is winning.
Cruz should just tell the New Yorkers that they have made bad election choices for decades and name a few. He can’t name too many or they wouldn’t recognize the names of all their liberal officials, too many liberals to remember.
+1!
Yeah.....and the finish line is way ahead
I don't vote as an anti-establishment voter...I vote for the man I think comes closest to my standards on the issues and his record. Therefore Cruz has my support until the election is settled either by Trump attaining the delegate goal before convention....or by Cruz's possible win at convention thereafter. Until that's determined the race continues.....I don't make it so complicated as some would as I know the candidate I hope to win.
It’s really laughable how you ignore Trumps tight affiliation with the Demorats and his left leaning positions, who has supported and fought against us in his support of Demorats on the very issues you claim.....yet you’ll clamor on about Cruz who is a Constitutional Conservative with a history that backs him up, who has stood FOR the very things we stand for.
There’s a reason people say Republicans are nuts!

Constitutional Conservatives don’t steal votes in Iowa or enable BLM rioters.
I’ve already commented back thread regarding Ny.... he’s not out to win the state...he wrote that off for obvious reasons...that does not mean ‘the board’ isn’t opened to play on...and Cruz has.
Non-issues for me.....obviously.
Good luck with all that.
>Non-issues for me.....obviously.
They should be important to you if believe in the Constitution and are a patriot. Or maybe you’re more like a NE Patroit’s fan and Ted Cruz is your Bill Billeck. What’s a little cheating eh?
Problem with so many of you is you have bought in to the left's narrative of Trump. Much of his affiliation with democrats has been business. We are just finding out about his politics now, it is a big difference but you would rather be brainwashed by the left's narrative.
If you would allow yourself not to be brainwashed for a bit, Donald Trump is a Patriot for taking on so much of the evil that makes up Washington DC, the dem party, the GOPe, the enemedia, the Wall St cronies, Ted Cruz and his supporters, and so on. If you would take the time to understand these things without the left's brainwashing, you would understand you are part of the problem.
Oh and Once you figure out that Ted Cruz is not the principled conservative, you think he is, then all will be clear.

... Maybe they’re punch drunk because they “never sleep.”
Explains a lot.
I prefer qualifications over "stats."
But you're free to choose on whatever basis you like.
That's America for you.
How are you able to actually judge qualifications. How are you qualified to pass judgement on another’s qualifications with out bias?
I keep asking those in TX, but I cant get an answer.
Yuck, yuck."
As I've explained numerous times in various forums (invariably to Kalifornians, you who's profile sports a Kalifornia flag and should know better than to throw stones):
1. Texas is structurally and socially conservative.
A) The vast majority of Texans are God fearing Christians. As a benefit - Texas being such a large market - the rest of the country, especially Kalifornia and NY, can thank us for fighting to keep a majority of garbage from being codified in school books used throughout the country.
B) Conservatives hold the Governorship, Senate, and House.
C) The legislator only meets every 2 years, which demonstrates that Texas is founded on the principle of limited government. That's a core conservative tenant.
2. Name one state that doesn't have a large city that isn't run by a corrupt cabal who exploit the weak by using identity politics to gain and retain power (ever heard of San Fransisco?)
3. Texas has a 1,200 mile border with Mexico. Were it were not for the conservatives in Texas, spending literally billions of hard earned state tax dollars (from our budget surplus) and using scarce state-based security resources protecting the border, the USA would be in a LOT worse shape in regards to illegal aliens. Even if Kalifornia had the money, it would NEVER in a million years spend large amounts of money to do the FedGov's job to protect its citizens. Hollywood, SanFran, and the plethora of unions that own the entire political apparatus would fight that until their dying breath.
There's your answer.
Yuck, yuck.
Please share that quote with the rest of us who heard:
"Once again Donald Trump has demonstrated that he hasnt seriously thought through the issues, and hell say anything just to get attention. On the important issue of the sanctity of life, whats far too often neglected is that being pro-life is not simply about the unborn child; its also about the mother and creating a culture that respects her and embraces life. Of course we shouldnt be talking about punishing women; we should affirm their dignity and the incredible gift they have to bring life into the world."
Cognition.
Try it.
