Ted Cruz vows to mock Trump at AIPAC for skipping Fox News debate
CNN ^ | March 16, 2016

Ted Cruz on Wednesday mocked Donald Trump for bowing out of a debate next week in Salt Lake City, and the Texas senator vowed to call out the GOP front-runner at a gathering of a major pro-Israel lobby group next week.

Trump said earlier in the day that he would not participate in the Fox News debate in Utah on Monday, and John Kasich quickly said that he wouldn't attend if Trump didn't. Later on Wednesday, Fox News formally canceled the event.

Trump said he would use his time instead on Monday to address a conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the prominent pro-Israel group. Cruz's campaign said in a statement Wednesday that Cruz would use his time at the same conference to "highlight Trump's positions -- or lack thereof -- in front of the thousands of AIPAC members in attendance."

"Let's be intellectually honest about what's going on here -- Donald Trump is scared to debate Ted Cruz next week,"

Or maybe we’re just all tired of your bullshit and same questions that have been answered many times.

Back when I actually listened to Levin, I recall his being very strong for both Rubio and Cruz in their Senate bids. Then, of course, Rubio forgot about the people ‘who brung him.’ Cruz has remained, nominally, conservative. Personally I don’t find his behavior in this campaign at all consistent with being conservative, but that’s me.

I think Levin has become something of a jackass on the subject. And, as usual for him, treats those who disagree as ignoramuses and will not brook any disagreement. He can only shout people down; his strength is not in reasoning or persuading. Just his style. I stopped listening long ago and only occasionally catch bits when someone else turns that station on.

As to Limbaugh, I think he also buys into Ted’s being a ‘true, consistent conservative” whether born out by facts or not. His brother has written articles promoting Cruz. People who think THEY are the center of ‘conservatism’ tend to cling to Cruz regardless of how his behavior has changed over the past few months. They’re stuck somewhere in 2013-15.

Nobody is "afraid" of teddy; they're bored by the parrot's memorized lines, many of which he has purloined from others;. mostly from Trump. And yet another debate adds NOTHING but ennui.

By this this time, we know everything we need to know about all of them.

Cruz was even offered his own TOWN HALL; the whole show and he REFUSED it. I guess he's the one who is terrified to answer unscripted queries, since he can't think on his feet.

LOL...in what universe?

"Class"? Mention "class" to Teddy and he'll ask what's going to be on the quiz.

"Let's be intellectually honest about what's going on here -- Donald Trump is scared to debate Ted Cruz next week,"

That is obvious. But one can understand why Ducking Donald would chicken out. He's got a lead and wants to sit on it. Being exposed for his lack of substance and having to face his intellectual superior on closer to a one-on-one level must frighten Donald.

By the way, do YOU think that the delegates to the convention will be intimidated by Trump’s threats about riots if the delegates don’t elect HIM as the nominee?

Trump made no such threat...Are you a troll???

"IGNORANCE" ? LOL..hardly!

Trump isn't ignorant at all; however, the remaining opponents, especially Teddy, appear to not have learned very much at all about anything.

You remind me of the punk socket puncher who gets his ass kicked in the parking lot and then, when the winter is walking away, he throws out threats.

Your guy didn't win a single state yesterday. And he's doomed to lose and relegated to the dung heap of history. So suck it.

I’m sure he debated himself on the issue of mob violence last week..., and lost yuge.

But.. but... but... Trump rules all these debates, all those polls prove it. /s

Trump made a fool out of himself in every one of them and couldn't wait to shed himself of going to another one. Especially ones that required over one minute of dialog at a time.

I agree that trading will have to take place. Scotus is too risky a trade. There’s no guarantee that the Senate will be republican even if trump wins. And if there’s a Republican senate, it is even possible they won’t approve cruz. The only appointment directly in the hands of the potus is the veep slot. After that comes Cabinet positions.

It still shows Trump's lack of class especially when he mocks other candidate's faith and conversion while he doesn't show any understanding of the Gospel saying he didn't see the need to ask forgiveness.

The past is still relevant in that it is an indicator of how someone will act in the future.

>>Better a roulette wheel than certain national destruction with Clinton - but I think it’s going to end in tears in November.

If the RNC “allows” DJT to get the nomination, you can rest assured that the GOPe and the Dems will continue to collude together, massive voter fraud, shameless intimidation, massive illegal voters, etc. to ensure their little cushy insider game remains secure.

Knowing this, we still support DJT because for us, he represents the last sliver of hope to restore America by first securing its boarders and second, deporting the masses of illegal criminals that threaten our lives and the lives of our children. This is most important to me. If there were no other issues, this alone would clinch my vote.

I think we see tensions rise even higher throughout the summer and fall, to fever pitch. God knows what the Post Election time will bring.

Oh Trump most definitely DID say his supporters would riot if he did not get the nomination. Your IGNORANCE of that fact does not negate that it happened. Google (or Duck-Duck-Go) is your friend—check things out before you accuse people of being a troll.

greatest problem with Trump, however, is that I think he’s going to get destroyed in the general election. If he gets the nomination, fine, I’m all in for Trump. Better a roulette wheel than certain national destruction with Clinton - but I think it’s going to end in tears in November.

Cruz has a similar problem; religious zealot, unattractice, hyper conservative from Texas, always asking for money, etc., red meat for his fans but will lose the general election. People will view him as creepy. If you want electability go for Kasich; he can beat Hillary, unless of course he is her running mate.
