Not happening. Rush announced today would not be over if Trump won the night.

Likely more vote in from St. Louis County.

Votes are out in
34 precincts in Jackson County (KC)
1 precinct in Cass County (southern KC burbs/exurbs)
40 precincts in St. Louis County (St. Louis burbs)
95 precincts in St. Louis (city proper). (not many R votes there)

Cruz leads by 2.3% in Jackson
Cruz leads by 4.4% in Cass
Trump leads by .4% in St. Louis County
Trump leads by 2.2% in St. Louis (city)

My guess is that there aren’t enough votes out there for Cruz to overtake Trump.

How can there be 99% reporting and still all these votes out there?

With 40 to 45 million attach ads why should Donald be nice? But he was.

Trump and his followers have done a masterful job of alienating and insulting us Cruz supporters, i.e., the social and constitutional conservative base of the party.

Trump has many social and constitutional conservatives supporting him. That is where the disconnect is.

Robert Jeffries, the pastor of the First Baptist Dallas Church, Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Jeff Sessions all have endorsed Donald Trump. They are all social constitutional conservatives.

Problem with Cruz supporters is they do not acknowledge that Trump is endorsed by the same base as they say they own which is not a true statement.

We are too reliant and have allowed our means of production to wither. Does anyone realize just how exposed we are in the event of an emergency?

I posted this on the thread titled "The damage “conservatives” in Washington have done" 11 days ago.

The implications should be obvious: we cannot produce our own war materiel anymore. Where will our tanks, planes, ships, and missiles come from, should we suddenly need more?

Ditto here.

I started out with Carson. The level of out and out hate for anyone not Cruz pretty much soured me in Oct 2015. It was not because I dislike Cruz but because his supporters demonstrated a complete inability to win over anyone not all ready in the Cruz Choir loft.

St. Louis city seems to be stalled. No path left for Cruz though that I can see.

“Bush 41 was that kind of compromise with Reagan.....”
_______________________________________________________

And when George Herbert Walker Bush ran for president in 1988, he ran on the Reagan record.

As soon as he was elected and then sworn in, George 41 threw all the Reagan people under the bus and abandoned the Reagan policies and principles that got him elected.

Four years later, the stinkin’ Clintons came to town, and we still can’t rid of those dirtbags.

Also, an establishment VP could lead to the impeachment and conviction of Trump on bogus charges, just to get their establishment boy in power. I wouldn’t put it past the GOPe to try and harm Trump, either.

This is why I would prefer a conservative, anti-establishment person as VP.

Did they put a little red check mark next to Trump in MO on CNN?

Marco has 167 delegates so far. And he is not releasing them today to any one. If Trump is at 1100, those 167 delegates pushes him over the line.

He helps Trump with hispanics (maybe) but the big thing for Trump would be getting his delegates. And since he's all but done for politically in Florida he's probably more then willing to make a deal with Trump.

...how do we support making better trade deals if we don't have the stuff to trade in the first place?

Well, do you suppose a few "retired" folks who used to make things could be persuaded to get back into harness to put some of that stuff back together again?

I've got 40 years experience along the lines of mechanical/aeronautical/manufacturing engineering, including a few years training machinists to build the stuff I designed and I'll even double down and do electrical controls and power if there aren't any twidgets around to handle those details.

Pay? Well, if I'm having fun I'll usually leave that up to Grandma. Just leave me a couple days a week to play golf and a Get Out of Jail Free card for when I kick EPA/OSHA butts over the parking lot fence and I'm good.

I probably can even go over and get all that drafting equipment back that I donated to that museum......

No, Windy; they mean the same. Mc is just an abbreviation of Mac. I think it became a ‘difference’ due to prejudices in some areas of the US, but it really has nothing to do with Scottish or Irish:

Trump needs only 51% of the votes in future primaries, not 80% to get to 1237. From now on it is mostly winner take all or winner take most delegates.

Also, Rubio would be the happy warrior, the optimistic one to balance the “anger”.
