Sarah Palin cancelled a campaign stop for Donald Trump in Florida Monday after her husband Todd was injured in a snow machine crash.
A source told NBC News that Todd Palin was in "a very serious" crash Sunday night and is currently hospitalized in intensive care.

TODD PALIN RECOVERING FROM SNOWMACHINE ACCIDENT
Following reports of a recreational riding accident, Todd is recovering in a local hospital.
Anchorage, Alaska (AK). Iron Dog has been informed that Todd Palin was involved in a recreational snowmachining crash over the weekend and suffered some serious injuries. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly released, but word is that Todd is in stable, but serious condition and scheduled for surgery at a local area hospital.
Todd is a four-time champion Iron Dog racer with a long history of strong finishes in the longest, toughest snowmobile race. Regardless of your skill level or victories in racing, this incident demonstrates that accidents can happen to even the most skilled riders. All riders should be prepared for the worst and always ride with a partner, wear protective gear and a helmet.
Kevin Kastner, Executive Director, said, “Everyone at the Iron Dog sends its warmest get well wishes and is keeping Todd in our thoughts and prayers as he recovers from his injuries. Snow machine is more generic and indicates a wider variety of adapted and dedicated vehicles. Pretty sure it predates the use of ‘snowmobile’ popularized after 1960. Typical Alaska term.
Know anybody who snowmobiles for fun?
It’s pretty easy to understand, like Alaska bush plains going down.
The reason I asked is last week a dtunk ran in to two dog sleds on a snowmobile, claimef he was drunk.
Having spent a lot of winter vacation time in northern Minnesota, and having a cousin who was an Alaska bush pilot for years, and a close friend who guides and has run trap lines in Alaska, lots of stupid things happen, but lots of these accidents are just completely freaky with no reflection on the victim.
My bush pilot cousin retired to the family farm when he got older and lost some of his reflexes. The trapper friend quit remote lines when he got old enough to notice his strength and endurance slipping. Alaska is very unforgiving.

I don’t have the slightest concern about that incident, except I wish that Gramps had hit him with a two by four. Repeatedly.
