"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

What is ironic is the troubles of the black community are those caused by the Democrats and the Obama Regime—not the Republicans. Democrats have killed the economy with taxes and regulations which is a system they have been using to line their pockets in a money laundering scheme. This theft of tax dollars is being hidden by a great diversion using the false narrative of racism and other scapegoat tactics. The Republicans are the racists, the man bites dog and 2 + 2 = 5. The middle class is shrinking, poverty is increasing, jobs are flying out of the country, and the national debt is $19 trillion. All of the economic troubles hurt the blacks as it does all Americans. They are easy to fall prey to the red herring of racism but for the Democrats, that is all they have to cover up their criminal enterprise.
Thanks for the link.
I didn’t hear what you heard. I heard him say that the protesters are responsible for the violence, and Trump and his campaign are responsible for the culture of their campaign. A Breitbart reporter is NOT BLM or moveon.org. If there was violence towards a reporter as alleged, that can’t be blamed on Bill Ayers. And that’s just plain true.
I don’t know whether that attack occurred or not, but if Trump made comments about wanting to punch somebody, that’s not a good tone to set, for civil discourse. That’s what Cruz basically said, and I don’t see how anybody could argue with that. Cruz isn’t saying Trump is responsible for violence; he clearly said the opposite. But Trump IS responsible for the tone he sets, and if it’s a tone that won’t even tolerate a conservative reporter without his supporters and/or campaign leaders resorting to physical force.... well, that’s a problem for those who expect civil discourse.
Did you know the SS got info that 10% of the audience planned to storm the stage? That’s why event was cancelled.
You have nailed it! You put it short and to the point.
....and after about three days of the media pushing the mantra that he was inciting violence at his rallies.
I see a protestor all bloody from a beat down. I don’t know what I’m supposed to see in the second photo.
(Wheres Pelham)
He’s around here somewhere
I've been wondering the same thing all night.
Did you get your free ticket for the Canadian Cruz Line yet?
I’m really curious about this and would appreciate an answer.
Did you ever personally care about the establishment telling us who our candidate will be. If so, doesn’t it bother you that Cruz has thrown in with the Bush’s, supported Romney’s rant, is taking more from the establishment, is endorsed by the NRO, and tonight recited the same talking points as the media and other candidates?
He sounds just like Obama. Before Trump entered the race Cruz was one of my top choices. Now I wouldn’t vote for slick weasel for dog catcher.
Traveled the same road. I started to see through him around Iowa, and I've come to loathe him.
And what he did tonight brings him to even lower depths in my estimation, which I didn't think possible.
That's great! Welcome to the revolution,
First, you know nothing about me. So stop the personal attack.
Second, I have put my life on the line for my country. I know what true violence is. I understand it on a deeper level than I want to.
Third, I suspect many who advocate turning a bad situation into a worse one do not have a clue what they are asking for.
What happened is aweful and should never have been allowed to escalate like it did. It could have been far worse. Trump exercised good judgment by suspending the event.
I do believe that the ‘protesters’ are to blame. So does Ted Cruz.
I also believe that trump bears some responsibility for the level of anger and yes, violent intent, that surrounds his campaign.
It’s people like you who spread the anger. If you and your ilk manage to spread this too far, you best hope I’m on your side. You have no idea how dangerous the men who have sworn to protect and defend the constitution can be.
There is no leader or group of leaders that can destroy this country. Only the PEOPLE can destroy this country. And that’s what scares me, when I see how ready EVERYBODY seems to be, to burn at the stake anybody who doesn’t fanatically believe/trust their particular god - er, candidate. Those culture warriors who would never have accepted the post-modern idea that “we all make our own truth” are espousing that very thing.
I fear there is nothing that can stop the death of America. It seems like we’re a chicken whose head has been chopped off and the electrical fire in the blood is convulsing us uncontrollably.
I think I need to just get away from here. It’s too crazy. If we’re gonna be destroyed it would be better to spend the last days with my family, doing what I can to provide relief for them when things get really, really bad, ‘cause I think that’s where this is all headed.
Here are some pictures and videos of those being attacked, including a bloodied police officer. It also includes a video of Beck supporters outside Trump towers cursing at the people entering the building.
Why do these people go to Trump rallies? It is one thing to demonstrate outside, but they lie and push their way into the rallies and try to silence Trump. Is that what you are trying to defend? Are you aware of the groups that organized and participated in this protest?
Snark is unbecoming of you.
First, those aren’t protesters. They are disruptors. You have a right to protest. Get your own space, march, carry a sign. You don’t have a right to go into someone else’s event and try to disrupt it and take away other people’s free speech.
We all saw him, on TV or on video.
Cruz did himself in.
No one deserves it more.
Eff yourself.
