Rank and File Republicans Tell Party Elites: We’re Sticking With Donald Trump
NY Times ^ | MARCH 4, 2016March 5, 2016 | MICHAEL BARBARO, ASHLEY PARKER and JONATHAN MARTIN

From Michigan to Louisiana to California on Friday, rank-and-file Republicans expressed mystification, dismissal and contempt over the instructions that their party’s most high-profile leaders were urgently handing down to them: Reject and defeat Donald J. Trump.

Their angry reactions, in the 24 hours since Mitt Romney and John McCain urged millions of voters to cooperate in a grand strategy to undermine Mr. Trump’s candidacy, have captured the seemingly inexorable force of a movement that still puzzles the Republican elite and now threatens to unravel the party they hold dear.

In interviews, even lifelong Republicans who cast a ballot for Mr. Romney four years ago rebelled against his message and plan. “I personally am disgusted by it — I think it’s disgraceful,” said Lola Butler, 71, a retiree from Mandeville, La., who voted for Mr. Romney in 2012. “You’re telling me who to vote for and who not to vote for? Please.”

You could fool me. Trump was supposed to win Kansas by 6 to 12 points; he lost by 24. He was supposed to win Maine easily; he lost by 14. He won the early vote in Louisiana by 33 points and lost the election-day vote.

Looks like his support is cratering.

Cruz has no chance of catching up with Trump, actually tonight only demonstrated that. His pace had to be much better than that, now with the upcoming states his chances and becoming more limited. He would have to hit 60% of every contest left and it won’t happen. As things move more into the North (and face the reality TRUMP WON THE SOUTH), Trump will increase his delegates even more, and bank on it California and New York are Trumps, and the upcoming Florida contest is never going to be won by Rubio and likely will be winner take all for Trump.

Sorry, Cruz actually didn’t make the case tonight.

And the support for Trump is NOT “catering”, all his support is still out there to vote for him in the states to come and is about to come like nobody’s business. The Landing at Normandy, the final days of the anti-Trump. Of course, some of you might stay out of the general and sit at home.

Go ahead. It won’t make a difference, unlike the last time. Trump will still beat Hillary.

The only recent poll in California shows Cruz winning by two. That was before the implosion. Trump has been underperforming polls by abut 6 to 20 points. It’s winner-take-all, worth 155 delegates. Trump’s lead is less than 100.

Cruz has done best in the North, getting more delegates and popular votes in Minnesota (won by Rubio), Maine, Kansas, Iowa and Alaska.

Minnesota is not North, it is Insane.
I do not consider Kansas, Iowa and Alaska “North” (despite the song North to Alaska, it is only geographically North). Maine is part of Canada, not the USA (even though it is not official).

Cruz will not with the North. The North is not interested in Glenn Beck types and their religious cults.

You must be looking at the old Dec poll which had Cruz by 2 points, and is totally a lame Field poll which has been totally discredited so many times in California it is laughable. Just one week prior to the landslide for Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Field poll had Democrat Cruz Bustamante winning by 5 points.

Cruz will not win California. Trump will.

‘A conservative or a populist. Choose GOPe, or we will choose for you.’

You mean Cruz is a conservative? a ‘conservative’ who refuses to abide by the most basic of the US constitution article 2 natural born citizen requirement to be POTUS? a ‘conservative’ whom the RATS will definitely remove on account of his constitutional ineligibility ?

GOPe has no choice but to choose Trump, the only constitutionally eligible candidate that the RATS cannot remove on account of his eligibility, and, the candidate that is winning, especially if the GOPe supports him.

Really, if you we want to defeat the RATS, we must not nominate Cruz the ineligible candidate! The RATS are not as kind as the Cruz supporters who ignore his eligibility!

Voting has consequences!
A Trump presidency will be way better than a Clinton dynasty!

I will vote for Cruz if he is constitutionally eligible.
I will vote for Cruz if he had been honest and brave enough to address his constitutional eligibility issue.
Unfortunately he has not done so.
The certain outcome would be the removal of Cruz the ‘nominee’ by the RATS! and the RATS will win!

WE WILL NOT LET THE RATS WIN THIS TIME!

We will win with Trump the only one who is eligible and who is winning by addressing real issues!
