From Michigan to Louisiana to California on Friday, rank-and-file Republicans expressed mystification, dismissal and contempt regarding the instructions that their partys most high-profile leaders were urgently handing down to them: Reject and defeat Donald J. Trump.
Their angry reactions, in the 24 hours since Mitt Romney and John McCain urged millions of voters to cooperate in a grand strategy to undermine Mr. Trumps candidacy, have captured the seemingly inexorable force of a movement that still puzzles the Republican elite and now threatens to unravel the party they hold dear.
In interviews, even lifelong Republicans who cast a ballot for Mr. Romney four years ago rebelled against his message and plan. I personally am disgusted by it I think its disgraceful, said Lola Butler, 71, a retiree from Mandeville, La., who voted for Mr. Romney in 2012. Youre telling me who to vote for and who not to vote for? Please.

We’re a dying country and I see millions of people who understand the grim picture in front of us and have come to the conclusion things can’t go on as they are.
Trump is like a fire extinguisher you reach for in an emergency cause America is about to burn down and the hour is late, the need is great and time will not wait - politics as usual is insufficient to get the job done.
In a word if not now, then when? As R. Hillel said thousands of years ago, to rephrase him for our time: “If we won’t be for our country, then who will be for our country?” Its time for us all to stand up and be counted.
And Trump is our way of standing up and being counted for our country.
Kinda amazing considering that just 4 years ago we were told to vote for Romney for the good of the party. And now Romney tells us not to vote for someone leading the party and bringing in new voters ? Basic logic flaws are always present in every cronyism ploy.
“The GOPe did nothing but to justify and harden the support Donald Trump has.”
And add to his share of the votes! From the most recent polls, it’s starting to look like Trump’s “new floor” is 50%, up from 40% a week or two ago, and up from 30% a month ago. So what the hell GOPe just keep doing what your doing. Maybe Trump will offer Rancid Penis a day job cleaning the toilets at the RNC! On second though, probably a poor fit, Rancid isn’t into hard labor.
“I never heard anyone so in love with the sound of his own voice. “
And what a disturbingly terrible voice it is. I just could not imagine having to listen to him if he managed to win. I can’t imagine a debate beetween Cruz and Clinton, they are the worst of the worst when it comes to speaking voices. Lucky me, he’s not going to win.
That’s about the thousandth time you’ve posted that. Get a new line or hush.
“Our leaders think whats important to them is saving the party.”
You know your comment broght up in my mind one of our “senators” talking about “saving the Senate as an institution.” And our judges waxing eloquent about their courtrooms. Friends, they are all dilusional! The United States would function infinitely better instantaneously if somehow the US Senate was transported to Mars! As for our courts, with the SCOTUS being the most glaring example of a bunch of worthless a$$holes who haven’t done an honest day’s work ever! But all the rest of them grind on, taking years to come to decisions that should take days. Trust me, I acted as my own attorney probating my mother’s small estate. They are all highly-paid, totally worthless consumers of food and air!
Romney strapped his dog to the roof of the car for the family trip.
What a prick.
Yes! Every Cruz speech goes like that: Line. Applause, whoops. Line. Applause, whoops. Line. Applause, whoops.
And that voice he’s in love with is like a dentist’s drill. The guy needs major surgery to unplug his nose and sinuses.
And he’s a serial liar.
Gallagher and Ingraham are total shills in the tank for Trump. It’s embarrassing that reliable conservatives are falling in for a total fraudulent candidate, a guy who just 3 and a half years ago said he agreed with legalizing illegals. He told people in the primary what they wanted to hear and now has already signaled he will “negotiate” away the idea of deportation.
Electing Trump would be like marrying him after signing a pre-nup that says you get nothing if he decides to drop you, which he will.
I didn’t like that either. But get over it, is a lot more important things to worry about
25 million other conservatives disagree with you
What’s a rank and file Republican?
Well, if you ask the GOPe...
Events DO bear an unnerving similarity to a pro-wrestling narrative....
I hope Trump paid Romney and McCain to do this, because no amount of TV commercials could do what they just did to help his campaign.
You need to do a Youtube "Downfall" type of video using some Cruz footage instead of the Hitler movie, and with this as the script.
I’m well aware who Trump is: a protest vote.
If the GOP had done half the things they promised us they would do, Trump wouldn’t even be an issue.
They have no intention of changing so it must forced on them and power concedes nothing without a demand.
Trump is simply the messenger, whatever his shortcomings, about our corrupt system.
If the Republican party steals it from Trump, then there will be a revolt. Hopefully, non physical.
What’s the purpose of voting if they are just going to steal elections they do not like?
LOL!
