Obviously a deal what cut (promotion at Goldman Sachs for Cruz's wife likely included) where Rubio and Cruz got together pre-debate to bash Trump. They'll endorse each other if they lose their home states.

From a straight up point, Cruz and Rubio both lost their ass.
I expected better.
Trump was attacked from both sides and responding like a battleship ready to go.
A deal was obviously cut.
“We bash Trump together in this debate. Hit him from each side and lay off each other. Then you back me if you lose Florida and I’ll do the same if I lose Texas.”
That’s the deal. Obvious.
Then... Maybe a VP slot?
It’ll balance the ticket. New generation. Hispanics voting Republican.
Or the SCOTUS spot.
Cruz sees Rubio tanking in Florida and will shore up Texas and pull it out he hopes.

If Cruz drops out and is announced for the V.P. ticket of anyone else, I’ll vote for whoever that is. Setting up Cruz for the presidency in the future will set us up for our greatest President since Reagan.
Who cares about Trump’s deportation when he is going to let them back in? It’s a JOKE, like his entire pathetic, embarrassing candidacy, a candidacy which will go down in a historic loss in the general election if he’s the nominee.
Of course Cruz endorsed Rubio. Birds of a feather.

We need to secure the border. Any bill this body passes should have border security first & then legalization. Not the other way around.

Agree and as I said, I was so disappointed that Cruz would actually prefer Rubio...RUBIO Lyin Cabana Boy—shows how little he really cares about the country IMHO
I watched the post debate interview and Cruz did NOT say a word about endorsing any other candidate.
What he did say, which does come as a surprise, is that he thinks Rubio would be a better president and a better candidate than Trump.
Cruz also said specifically that he thinks his campaign is the only one that has a chance at beating Trump. He said he expects to win Texas big, and that Rubio does not look like he can beat Trump in Florida (Rubio’s own state).
So I think your takeaway is misleading.
It does look like the odds of a Trump-Cruz team is becoming highly unlikely though.
He sure as hell isn’t the GOPe weasel the rest of them are.

he is a liar and he betrayed the tea party (read what Phyllis Schlafly said about him recently—and she was one of his first endorsers in 2010).

I’m not happy at all to see Cruz say this....cause I’m not anti-Ted, but you can’t go where Ted went tonight & claim to care about the most important issue in the country: immigration. Deal or not; Ted is truly finished.
Besides, this election season wins the cake for being totally lame.
Trump was exposed as a total, flip-flopping fraud and a fake Republican. Kudos to Rubio and Cruz for trying to save the party from a con man candidate. Trump supporters will have to be willing to admit they were wrong to save the party from a sure loss in the general election. Hopefully admitting they were wrong is easier for them than it is for their candidate.
