The oceans are rising faster than at any point in the last 28 centuries, and human emissions of greenhouse gases are primarily responsible, scientists reported Monday.
They added that the flooding that is starting to make life miserable in many coastal towns - like Miami Beach; Norfolk, Va.; and Charleston, S.C. - was largely a consequence of those emissions, and that it is likely to grow worse in coming years.
The ocean could rise as much as three or four feet by 2100, as ocean water expands and the great ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica begin to collapse.
Experts say the situation will grow far worse in the 22nd century and beyond, likely requiring the abandonment of many of the world's coastal cities.
Scientists already knew that the sea level rose drastically at the end of the last ice age, by almost 400 feet, causing shorelines to retreat by up to 100 miles in places. They also knew that the sea level had basically stabilized, like the rest of the climate, over the past several thousand years, the period when human civilization arose and spread across the earth.

So glad they had 2800 years worth of data to base this upon /epic sarc
I blame the Phoenicians..........................Carthage must be destroyed!.........................
Don’t worry! I have the solution. Switching to a global socialist economy fueled by a carbon tax will stop the rise of the seas!
Now how did that happen without global warming?
Ping.
Possum Holler Deep Sea Marina in Tennessee is accepting deposits on boat slips.
Pure horse manure! Norfolk VA doesn't have a sea coast. It's bordered by the Chesapeake Bay and the bay rarely floods. The flooding in downtown Norfolk comes from the Hague and the Elizabeth River, and at about the same rate it has for the 40 years I've lived here. Virginia Beach, which does have a sea coast gets no flooding from the ocean and the beaches are 2-3 times wider today than they were when I moved here.
The water is not rising in Charleston. Charleston, built on a swamp, pumping water, is sinking. Big difference.
So tell me, why has the sea levels not risen st any of the oceans sea ports? I guess the ocean only rises in areas where people can’t see it?
How come Ellis Island still has the same docks in use as they did 100 years ago?
Anyone?

Over the top, unadulterated horse shit.
I thought Obunghole was on that.
Actually the rising seas are good, look at all of the former coastal cities that are now several miles inland, like Ephesus. The oceans are just heading aback to their higher level during Biblical times and the hundreds of years of golbul cooling between then and now.
Didn’t happen during the Medieval warming period, won’t happen this time either.
There are of course other solutions to global warming. One is the massive redistribution of wealth and liberty from successful developed nations to third-world fascist dictators.
To infinity and beyond
CHARLESTON TRIVIAÂ
Half of downtown Charleston is actually “made land” - creeks or wetland area that was filled in to make streets and lots. The highest point in the old city is only about ten feet above sea level and many streets and yards in the city are technically below sea level. Keeping water from rising has been a Charleston tradition, and the harbor barrier along the high battery has to be rebuilt numerous times up until the late 1800’s due to intrusion from high tides and hurricanes.  Keeping Charleston from sinking has also been a concern, as geologists determined in 1970 that the city as a whole had settled some eight inches since the 17th century. Old legends claim that there were once tunnels dug beneath city streets by pirates hoping to sneak into local taverns.  Considering that you would hit water digging more than a few feet in most places, the tunnel tale is undoubtedly all wet. There are at least a dozen downtown streets that once were creeks or wetland”
Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud
