I don’t know Ted Cruz OR Donald Trump, really. All I have to go on is filtered reports from themselves and the media.

I don’t trust the “Cruz is a liar” charge because of all the smoke from the flame-fanners. Is it because he is a Christian and has a “counsel of perfection” tied around his neck (see the Bible for some shady children of God)?

Trump is my choice, given the state of things. As I feared, Cruz (fairly or unfairly) is being demonized as a sanctimonious, hypocritical Christian. This means we LOSE with him as our candidate.

There are some here who would get a rush off that, though. A real, sanctimonious high off their own perceived “purity”.

Scalia would rule him ineligible.

Don't forget that it was Cruz who was a strong advocate for his friend John Roberts to be appointed to the Supreme Court by GWB. Somebody actually found an article from back then which established that he didn't just go along. Cruz wrote a passionate defense of his qualifications.

How does that qualify him to make good choices for the Supreme Court? It was Trump who, at the last debate, had two names of conservative judges he'd consider appointing.

President Trump will nominate his new friend, either Micheal Moore, or Medae Benjamin of Code Pink.

I’ve only one disagreement: Ted was solicitor general, not attorney general.

It’s called a “no-brainer”, so we will soon see how many Republicans have brains. There is no other rational choice now. It’s Ted Cruz or lose.

The problem is that some lefty federal judge...

This is such unchartered territory. Your thought is interesting. Without a majority on the Supreme Court, could Cruz be kept out of the WH until there's a ninth judge? Would a tie be a major constitutional crisis?

Cruz brought it upon himself. He could've tried to get an answer about his eligibility before starting his campaign.

Ted knows the judiciary inside out. No one else does. That’s why he is the only choice.

Scalia was not a moron. Thus he would understand that Cruz IS eligible.

Bottom Line, Scalia’s death is a major loss to conservatism and now threatens the foundation of American Freedom.

Mitch McConnell needs to forcefully pronounce that he will not bring a nomination to the floor, period, end of debate.

The GOP needs to make this a referendum on so much that Scalia has done to protect our Freedoms, starting with preserving the 2nd amendment and on.

This messaging will ensure a major voter turnout, unlike we have seen in decades. People will vote to support these freedoms and the GOP candidate will win in a landslide.

At every turn the Libs will be crying, at every turn the GOP needs to say we trust the American voter more than Obama.

I do not pick my religion based on the “world”, I won’t be picking my presidential candidate that way either. I may not get my pick, but I am not swayed by what the world believes and wants, because the world is not who I am. I live in the world, but I am not of it. I am about God. Ted is the one who most closely represents that.
