Who is backing Cruz in South Carolina? no one

They are backing Bush, Rubio and Trump

Kinda need people and money that Cruz doesn't have unless Goldman gave him a blank check.

Yes, much better to have a mature conservative that will leaves our border open to invasion and sell off what’s left of our manufacturing to China.

What number do you think Cruz should drop out? When he is more than doubled by the winner? Just curious...

Trump is not a conservative.

Right, n00b.

Trump is the ONLY candidate who is NOT amnesty PAC owned and has caused this election season to FINALLY be focused on issues that CONSERVATIVES have been screaming about, for YEARS....like illegal immigration/deportation/The Wall and premium care for our vets...and radical islamic terrorists. Things no other candidate, in years, has done.

I’m voting for Ted but trump isn’t terribly behind is he? I thought it was anywhere from 2 to five points. I know it was this high is 9 last month but then again hillary was beating Ted and Donald by 40 only six months ago. the biggest lie is that he does better than Ted. Ted is actually beating her on average. But we shall see. I will press the lever for either one in November. I have no choice

But, but guys. Cruz has $120 million in Super PAC money to get paid actors to go door-to-door for him. Why isn’t everyone rallying behind the anti-establishment “consistent” conservative?!?! LOL

At this point I think Cruz has been his own undoing. His campaign manager thinks voters are chumps you can look in the eye on Monday and tell them it’s Tuesday. He’s being proven wrong and Ted’s desperate smear tactics are having the opposite of the intended effect: making him look more GOPe than ever. It’s a shame he’s pissing away all the conservative goodwill that he’s earned over the years, but if this is how he operates, better now than after the election.

They would prefer a loudmouth bully (Trump) who has a long history of supporting our enemies and who just committed blood libel on George W Bush. I am sorry but Trump will lose in a landslide if nominated and if somehow he wins then he would be the worst Republican President ever to serve.

My friend, you were dead on the money in Iowa, but this is a 15+ gap with 5 days to go.

I know Ted has an amazing ground game but this is an OPEN primary not a closed caucus... I just don’t see Cruz taking this one.

I will say this: If Cruz takes SC I see him winning the nomination.

Don’t know. I do think Rubio strengthening could be real, since people might be tempted to move from Jeb to Rubio. It was observed by a commentator in other polls that any movement from Trump does not save Cruz. If Trump dropped out of the race, Cruz would be second place to Rubio.

I think Cruz has made himself too toxic, as has Jeb. All this is good for Trump, because it means Trump isn’t going to be losing votes to Cruz, who is his only real competitor in South Carolina. Trump could plummet 10 points and all it would result in is Rubio getting second place and him still winning.

Note how bad Cruz’s numbers are with independents and moderates.

The Secret Army Stumping for Ted Cruz

Well with Glenn Beck on his campaign, maybe they'll also be riding bikes.

I say this in all sincerity. Trump will either be one of the greatest presidents we’ve ever had or he will get us into World War 3 lol. Either way it wouldn’t be boring.he is a smart man and as he matures up until the election he should only get better.

Trump is not a conservative.

Nor are many of those Republicans who ran as conservatives -- until they got elected. Many of them only got elected by hanging on the coattails of the Tea Party movement and then disavowed the Tea Party movement as soon as they got to DC.

Most of the 2016 candidates who were in the debates -- many have since dropped out -- claimed to be one form of conservative or another.

I’m voting for Trump. I used to like Cruz, even donated to his campaign when he first announced.

I don’t like Cruz anymore. He is just the same as the rest of the GOPe, and will do whatever the big donors and lobbyists tell him to. He is a phony, pretending to be an outsider, hoping to fool some of us.

It seems he has succeeded from a lot of what I read here.
