... I was reporting from a candidate forum in neighboring Brewster County. Officials from all three counties were in attendance. David Beebe, the justice of the peace for Precinct 1 in Presidio County, was there, too. Shortly after 1 p.m., he received a request to handle an inquest for "a dead body" back in his county.
The call came from Juanita Bishop, the justice of the peace for Precinct 2, who is nominally closer, but she was at a work-related event more than 120 miles away in Fort Stockton.
Beebe responded he was also far away, too, busy at the political forum. The deceased wasn't identified. Bishop said she would find an alternate. In this border county, sometimes the dead body is an undocumented migrant. Identification can take weeks; death can wait.
Bishop contacted the third choice, Presidio County Judge Cinderella Guevara, who was also unable to make the drive to Cibolo Creek Ranch. Connecting with the county sheriff there, she officially handled the inquest - over the phone - pronouncing Justice Scalia dead just before 2 p.m. The Texas Code of Criminal Procedures allows justices of the peace to pronounce death via phone when deemed reasonable.
It wasn't until after 3 p.m. that the news started to make its way to the local officials at the candidates forum. Phones lit up. People stopped paying attention to the debate on the stage. I was sitting near Judge Beebe, and we rushed out of the school auditorium together. We drove straight to the only funeral home in the area, in Alpine - where there was no answer at the door. ...

Provide evidence to support your conjecture.
Curiously making up your own crap to have something to be curious about. 79 year old fat guys die, some day you’ll internalize that simple fact. Add to that the fact that this would be the STUPIDEST time in Scalia’s tenure to conspire to off him and there is quite simply no good reason to suspect anything. Shave with Occam’s Razor, it’s good for you.
The owner, Mr. Poindexter, is a decorated Vietnam War veteran. There is a photo of him being decorated for.. something.. from that War... by obamaumao. Will look it up.
It was the owner who, according to the report, said he and Scalia’s friend did not see him at breakfast at 8:30 prior to going out for a short hunt. Came back 3 hours later, and then let himself into the room where he found the Judge, peaceful, in bed with a “pillow over his head” (this is poor description, adding to the “story”) and the bed covering “not wrinkled” whatever that would mean.
Being a Veteran, would think the owner might have an idea what was and wasn’t an unnatural death. Your point is well taken.
But... such is the nature of the truly deceitful lying admin and their minions (for all the socialist/marxist marbles).. that there would be concern. Not the subject of novels... the subject of recent reality. Like, the poisoning of Victor Yushchenko, the former President of former Soviet Georgia, who was dosed with TCCD Dioxin and somehow survived with permanent chloracne. Russian mob and many other scum operate across the TX border from Mexico- the human traffickers and cartel types. As an observation, in turbulent times.
Agree it is like the Breitbart death story. But... far more important person. Would not put it past this crowd— who, as you rightly put it— many people have ignored their absolutely nefarious things they have done, to our veterans, our specops warriors and political enemies. Documented thing. And they aren’t done. Deo Vindice.
I’m not making conjecture, you’re making conjecture, I’m pointing out the dramatic flaws in your conjecture. Your very quote shows they COULD COMMUNICATE, no conjecture needed.
I have made nothing up. I am not alleging that he was killed or that he wasn’t killed. All I am saying is that procedure was at best sloppily performed regarding the death of a high profile government official. What is curious is the unsupported conjecture you will employ in order to support your conclusion. That’s your business, I really don’t care.
This right here:
All I am saying is that procedure was at best sloppily performed
THAT’S CONJECTURE. That’s YOU making conjecture. And this is me pointing out that YOU keep making unsupported pointless conjecture without actually making any myself.
I base my opinion on reported events and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. I question how the judge could determine or confirm the nature and cause of death without an autopsy, without a sample of body fluids, tissues, or organs, or without even viewing the body. I think it irregular that the judge had ample time to go to the Ranch but didn’t - because a Marshall told her it is “not necessary for you to come, judge”. This is not conjecture.
You base your opinion on “equipment and cool stuff” like “smartphones that can transmit all kinds of data, including letting the judge visually inspect the body from anywhere”. You offer nothing to support your conjecture that the judge visually inspected the body via cell phone. You shrug your shoulders, “hey old people die”.
And bad assumptions, and outright misinterpretations, like saying there was no cell service then quoting that said cell service was irritating but existed.
They DO have equipment. It’s the 21st century. Blood sample kits are standard issue for cops these days (mostly for use in DUI), rape kits, all kinds of evidence handling. And indeed smartphones CAN transmit data. And really the MOST important part which you put the MOST effort into ignoring: the judge was satisfied. Regardless what what info they got and how THEY WERE SATISFIED. So you’re just gonna have to learn to cope.
Did I say there was no service? No, I didn’t. What I posted was the judges comments regarding spotty service. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3397323/posts?page=58#58
To support your opinion you are offering speculation. Speculation that the judge viewed the body via cell phone. Speculation that a blood sample was taken. And so forth.
To support my opinion I offer news reports and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
No offense, but I really don’t care whether you agree with my opinion or not.
You should know the difference between opinion and conjecture. You should know the value of opinion based on fact versus opinion based on conjecture.
Sorry I misread that. Which makes the judge kind of silly. Some people are addicted to an overly complicated world view. Funny that you keep lecturing on conjecture and opinion when that’s all you’ve got. It’s your OPINION base on your CONJECTURE that not enough investigation happened. Guess what, you don’t know how much investigation happened, you’re just GUESSING. Meanwhile, the facts are in, the judgement is in, get over it. There will not be any further investigation, and even if there was I’m quite confident you’d never believe it anyway.
And the part of the county they are in is the more remote part.
How does it make the judge sound silly? She says there was spotty reception - she was there, you weren’t. She participated in the phone call, you didn’t.
Apparently you don’t know the difference between an opinion and conjecture. An opinion is a view based on reason, but it is not a certainty. Conjecture is a view based on speculation, a guess, a presumption.
Review my posting history. Go ahead. I’ve posted news articles and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. My view, while not a certainty, is based on reason. Your view is based on unsubstantiated claims that the judge viewed cell phone video, etc.
This has become repetitive. Good day.
There was no cell service, we talked for 20 minutes, those two things sound off together. I understand how they can add up, because most of the time when people say “no cell service” they mean “crappy cell service”, but it still sounds wrong.
Problem is you’ve added conjecture that everything we’ve heard in the press is everything that happened, and therefore in your opinion they didn’t follow the Texas law. Given that what we’ve heard is at best 5 minutes worth of actual activity with references to 20 minutes and more it’s a bad assumption to think what we’ve heard is all. People probably did their jobs, they made their conclusions based on their training, and the family doesn’t want an autopsy. It’s been decided.
I had it checked, 10 years ago with a sleep study. Supposedly not sleep apnea, but similar - partial obstruction.
Don’t have the trouble that often anymore, but it’s not a pleasant feeling.
Looks like a former head of criminal investigations is also surprised at the “NO Autopsy”
Conspiracy theories swirl around the death of Antonin Scalia
âAs a former homicide commander, I am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia,â William O. Ritchie, former head of criminal investigations for D.C. police, wrote in a post on Facebook onSunday.
Glad you had it checked. I get it sometimes. Scary feeling. I need it seen to as well.
Heart attack would have woken him up. When somebody dies in their sleep with no previous complaints it is almost always cardiac arrhythmia. In such a case the cause would be recent heart surgery (which Scalia did not have) or exposure to arrhythmia-inducing chemicals.
IOW, poisoning is a reasonable guess at what killed him, given his serene appearance when found, the absence of any complaints before or after he went to bed, and the absence of recent heart surgery which is the “natural” cause for cardiac arrhythmia in such a case.
And don’t you DARE accuse me of ignoring the nefarious things of this regime. If you knew half of what I know about what this regime has done you would go absolutely nuts, because you would never believe it.
Ginsburg is a liberal. Replacing her with a liberal would accomplish nothing.
Are you really this dense?
Aside from the pillow on his head, this is the classic description of a person who dies of cardiac arrhythmia during sleep.
It is NOT the description of somebody having a heart attack.
See http://healthjournalism.org/blog/2011/07/reporter-explores-dying-peacefully-in-his-sleep/
The cause for cardiac arrhythmia during sleep, with no illnesses and no recent heart surgery, is exposure to arrhythmia-inducing chemicals. Poisoning.

“You have a Supreme Court Justice who died, not in attendance of a physician,” he wrote. âYou have a non-homicide trained US Marshal tell the justice of peace that no foul play was observed. You have a justice of the peace pronounce death while not being on the scene and without any medical training opining that the justice died of a heart attack. What medical proof exists of a myocardial Infarction? Why not a cerebral hemorrhage?”
