Pope Francis to stand with migrants at U.S. border

Pontiff's show of solidarity during visit to Mexico

Pope Francis, who has spent the past several months pressing nations, including America, to embrace those fleeing the unrest in the Middle East, Africa and Asia with open arms - and open borders - is now taking that stance to a new political level and planning a solidarity stand with migrants along the U.S.-Mexico boundary.

Market Watch reported Francis is due to arrive in Mexico on Friday for a six-day visit. And as part of that visit, he is planning to stand on the U.S. border, in Ciudad Juarez, and deliver a mass.

The town is located just 90 yards from U.S. land.

About 200,000 are expected to turn out for the mass on the Mexico side, and another 50,000 from Rio Grande in Texas, the Wall Street Journal reported.

"This is one community, despite the fence," said Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi, during a press conference reported by Market Watch. "I think it will be moving to see this single community even though it is located on two sides of the border."

Immigration has been a top issue during this presidential campaign season, with both Donald Trump and Sen. Ted vowing to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump in particular has sounded the alarm on illegals in the United States, promising to deport the 11 million who are breaking the law with their presence. And he's also come down hard on the refugee situation, calling for a blanket halt to immigration of all individuals coming from Muslim dominated nations in order to allow U.S. authorities time to catch up...

The NT doesn't quantify sins.

Sin in itself is a rejection of God whether it be a small little lie or just the thought of adultery.

In either case, when we become one of His adoptive ones, He does not kick us out of the family. The believer has been sealed by the Holy Spirit. I cannot find where it ever says we are unsealed or that we unseal ourselves.

The Bible says that some people will go to Hell, correct? Well, mortal sin is what causes that.

You still have not given me a Biblical reference to what "mortal sin" is - because there isn't one. It is not the Word of God, but an invention of the Catholic church.

People go to Hell because they reject the free gift of Salvation provided by Jesus. They go to Hell because they reject Christ.

Maybe while he's at it, the Pope can part the Rio Grande so the new owners can enter into the Promised Land with dry feet?

I can't wait to see them marching seven times around El Paso...

At least he’ll be on the Mexican side of the line. I don’t want him back in the USA. (By the way, I am a practicing Catholic.)

Well, mortal sin is what causes that.

The BIBLE says it's unbelief.

Sounds like a target rich environment.

He’s from Argentina...no surprise that he is screwed up.

I worked in Argie for two years and would rather build a project in East Took-A-Crap Africa than Argentina. He is a product of that culture.

The only way to reject the Grace offered by God is to reject his Son the Messiah Jesus Christ.

Matthew 12:31 King James Version (KJV)

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

That is a nonsensical and bizarre interpretation of that statement by Jesus. He nowhere says that the “sin against the Holy Spirit” is THE ONLY SIN, or the only sin by which someone can choose to go to Hell. For example, Dives never committed “the sin against the Holy Spirit.” The people who are condemned at the Last Judgment did not commit the “sin against the Holy Spirit.” They simply failed to do good works.

WOW!

Almost as good as the FAGs that say Sodom's sin was INHOSPITALITY!

Exodus 32:32-33
But now, if you will forgive their sin - but if not, please blot me out of your book that you have written."  But the Lord said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot out of my book.

Daniel 12:1
"At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.

Philippians 4:3
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 17:8
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 20:11-15
"Then I saw a great White Throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and THE BOOKS WERE OPENED. Another book was opened WHICH IS THE BOOK OF LIFE. The dead were judged according to their works as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to their works.  Then death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written IN THE BOOK OF LIFE, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Revelation 21:27
Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
