Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz said he will not discipline staffers who spread a rumor that Ben Carson was going to drop out of the race in an attempt to get Carson supporters to caucus for Cruz in Iowa. Cruz appeared on the Mike Gallager Show on Wednesday and talked about staffers who pushed a report that Carson wasn't going on to campaign in New Hampshire or South Carolina.

You may want to watch a replay of BOR's show, tonight. He laid out the damning (for CRuz) timeline.
You may wish to do a bit of investigation of your own. As I said, one individual who I think is in Cruz’s camp should be under high pressure - but the specific wording from CNN to Cruz’s campaign before the caucus started was very, very similar.
I will not be led around by BOR or other news readers, even should they agree with my preferred position.
By the way, your logical fallacy is called “appeal to authority”, and it failed.
Rubio has one good point, may be only good point, which is he will beat Hillary. Cruz will hand Hillary a landslide.
you are correct
Cruz is favored by the narrow end of the conservative spectrum. The rest views him with disfavor
just click on king's link, or moody, you don't have to belong to twitter...
This is the dan gabriel tweet at 7:07 pm, gabriel is Cruz' PR guy. I think all the other tweets follow his tweet timewise. Later on, he then turned around and blamed it on the Trump campaign. It was very very hard to find this because he deleted it sometime in the middle of the night caucus night...
I had forgotten about that, but you’re right!! Thanks for the reminder.
I remember reading something a while back about Roe “”begging”” Cruz for a job, after working for Cruz in 2012.
Roe was responsible for running an ad last year, that was cited in the suicide of the state auditor of Missouri at the time, Schweich. I’m sure there were other factors but the ad Roe suggested, was specifically mentioned.
What’s wrong with Cruz, for hiring this guy?
Carson did say that it was not him personally who disclosed the information to CNN; it was a staffer. I can't help but wonder if it was a mistake where Carson didn't want that information out but it got out anyway. And even if it might have been someone in the NH group that had just quit Carson's campaign and wanted CArson's IA supporters to be able to support a conservative who was still in the race, just like they were doing by quitting the CArson campaign and joining Cruz' campaign.
The more I think about this, the more I think it may have been a very, very sad, mixed-up deal for everybody.
I don't like it that Trump is trying to say that he's the victim. I think the exit polls showed that people decided their vote at the last minute, and Trump had just put out a bunch of stuff that sounds scary to conservatives.
First, trump is just trying to keep the buzz alive. I am sure he has no plans to sue ... as a true Trump supporter I know how he rolls. :) He has never said the fraud impacted him, he just called it fraud.
The "conversation" was just the election night chatter at the CNN roundtable during the night ... filler.
Oh, so this wasn’t a conversation where a Carson staffer was there and it accidentally popped out that Carson wasn’t going to NH and SC.
Hmm. I wonder why the Carson staffer said anything about this if Carson didn’t want it getting out to the IA voters.
this is weird
NEWS FLASH: Lying is LEGAL in politics! NO politician will EVER be convicted for lying to the voters! Thus, the issue with Cruz is MOOT!
Team Cruz would have to care. Then they could feel guilty.
Didn’t like it?
Malarky. CNN needs to step up and admit that their reporters were strongly implying that Carson was dropping out. Did they say for a fact Carson was dropping out? No. Did they make it clear that’s what they thought was up? Absolutely.
Watch the video for yourself, assuming I can link to it; it’s the second one on this page, and it’s more speculation and innuendo than facts.

So then, Trump was right about Cruz.
No I actually expected that he would squeal like a little girl. Clearly he has no idea what street fight is just as you don’t.
What proof is there that Dan Gabriel actually works for Cruz. His twitter page emphatically denies that he works for any candidate.
I don't know about that. But this is from Dan Gabriel, Cruz' PR director, at 7:02 IA time. He is not vague and not relaying CNN's story. He is saying Carson staff CONFIRMED that carson was OUT. Garbiel then deleted the tweets in the middle of the night after he accused the Trump campaign of a dirty trick.
This infighting is insane; it’s the one flaw that the GOP has. At least with the Dems, they act as one unit once they decide on a candidate.
Everybody knows it’s just a matter of time before Dr. Ben leaves anyway, so come on, get over it. Politics is a tough game, not for the delicate.
