Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is lashing out at Marco Rubio and Donald Trump on immigration while facing New Hampshire voters for the first time since his Iowa caucus victory.
Cruz charged that Rubio led the fight for "amnesty" for immigrants in the country illegally. He also said Trump didn't do anything to fight immigration reform as the debate raged on Capitol Hill in 2013.
Yep, makes no sense.
Ummm....was Trump in a position to pass a law or something, that I’m not aware of???
[âHe also said Trump didnât do anything to fight immigration reform as the debate raged on Capitol Hill in 2013.â
Huh?]
One thing is for sure. There is no point in hanging around the house tweeting about what happened yesterday when you got one week until the next primary.
If Trump is not in NH today, I have no idea why not. If Cruz is there, which I think he is, then good on him. If he manages to reverse fortunes there and win over Trump, who I think has a 28 point lead atm, then it’s going to be game over for Trump.
I don’t think he could recover from that, and would be shown to be a poor campaigner IMO.
Get busy Trump.
What poll had trump “RUNNING AWAY” with Iowa?
4 weeks ago trump wasn’t even suppose to be in the top 5 in Iowa.
Meanwhile Trump is all over the place. First saying he will deport them all and then saying he supports a “touchback” system that would let millions into the country legally.
Trump was NOT in office or in a position to stop the gang of 8.....
BUT CRUZ, who was Bush’s immigration adviser did PLENTY to push amnesty in his official duties!
When he was working for Bush, he crafted the campaign’s immigration policy, which included a sped-up application process, a greater number of work visas, and a provision that allowed relatives of permanent residents to visit the United States.

Ted takes whatever position profits him at the time!
HISPANDERING: He was also a founding editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review (where he is listed as “Rafael E. Cruz”
Trump was in Congress in 2013?? I didn’t know that!
Where do you get the idea that Cruz is at 4%? Even in NH, where he is not expected to do well, he is in 2nd place at almost 12%.
He also said Trump didn’t do anything to fight immigration reform as the debate raged on Capitol Hill in 2013.
Trump was in the Senate in 2013. Well dang you learn something new everyday. New Hampshire voters can’t possibly fall for this, can they?
Trump was nowhere to be seen in 2013 when the Gang of 8 legislation was being considered in the Senate.
Huh? Trump has been in the top 2 in the RealClearPolitics average for Iowa since last July. Top 5 since he entered the race.
Trump is busy.
He’s tweeting his heart out and blaming the voters, the press and Cruz.
Only Senators can fight for and against policies? Seems that someone with Trump's resources and media savvy would have been in a position to make a difference, if he chose to do so. Trump did not.
“He also said Trump didn’t do anything to fight immigration reform as the debate raged on Capitol Hill in 2013.”
Someone tell the Canadian that Trump held no public office in 2013. He seems to have forgotten. But there’s always another lie he can come up with and he will.
Didn't you know The Donald can make policy just by being The Donald ?
and winning the state with an overwhelming lead.. right about where Reagan was in 1980

Donald Trump: Mean-Spirited GOP Won't Win Elections
Republican Party will continue to lose presidential elections if it comes across as mean-spirited and unwelcoming toward people of color, Donald Trump tells Newsmax.
Whether intended or not, comments and policies of Mitt Romney and other Republican candidates during this election were seen by Hispanics and Asians as hostile to them, Trump says.
"Republicans didn't have anything going for them with respect to Latinos and with respect to Asians," the billionaire developer says.
"The Democrats didn't have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren't mean-spirited about it," Trump says. "They didn't know what the policy was, but what they were is they were kind."
Romney's solution of "self deportation" for illegal aliens made no sense and suggested that Republicans do not care about Hispanics in general, Trump says.
"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says. "It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote," Trump notes. "He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."
The GOP has to develop a comprehensive policy "to take care of this incredible problem that we have with respect to immigration, with respect to people wanting to be wonderful productive citizens of this country," Trump says......
I love the way that the Trump supporters try to re-write history. Trump was in first place in Iowa from August to December, except for the 2-week Carson boomlet, and then was in second to Cruz for about 3-4 weeks. He was NEVER lower than 2nd in Iowa polls.
Where were his political contributions going in 2013? Was he supporting the democrats who were pushing so-called comprehensive immigration reform (aka amnesty)? Or was he supporting opponents of amnesty?
