See my about me page. Just click on my name. You might be surprised. I am a good guy. My wife just took our dieing cat to bed with her. My heart is bleeding. I have to be the strong one. I look back and the cat is gasping, and walk over and pet and pet. She purrs when I touch her Nothing I can do, and it is killing me inside.

I will proudly vote for either Cruz or Trump. After that there are a lot of maybe’s. I just don’t have any inkling to vote fore anyone else.

How many people on this forum would agree with you if the name in your statement was Bush instead of Trump? And if it would be acceptable to sit out if Bush is the nominee, why wouldn't it be acceptable if Trump is the nominee?
.........................................................
Apples and oranges.
Trump has at least said all the right things as far as moving towards conservative views on important issues likes abortion and marriage. He has met with pastor groups who had glowing reviews of Trump and their meetings.

Bush is staunch in his support of amnesty and blatantly comes across as a weak puppet of the GOPe who would not be much different than Hillary.

“If my candidate doesn’t win the nomination, I will require lots of tequilla to pull the lever for the nominee.”

Right there, in one sentence, is the reason why Republicans in a center-right nation lose national elections. We are, as a group, idealists who simply can’t stand someone that we don’t believe is perfect. However, politics isn’t about getting every single thing that you want. It is about compromise, whether anybody likes it or not. Nobody, I repeat, nobody gets everything that they want. By the way, the vast majority of Democratic politicians and voters understand this, and they pull together to accomplish their goals. I admire their common sense in doing so, even as I cringe at the results that they want and achieve.

Remember that Reagan said words to the effect that if you get 70% of what you want in politics, you should take it and run away. General George S. Patton, Jr. said that the perfect is the enemy of the good. What both of these men of vast and diverse experience in human affairs were saying is that you have to take the best that is available at any given moment, rather than waiting for some perfect deal, plan or person that will likely never show up and, thereby, forsake the “merely” good alternative the you just had in you hands. There is no such thing as a perfect politician, just as there is no such thing as a perfect human being.

This is probably the most critical election since 1860. If it is not that important, it is certainly the most important election that anybody who visits this website will ever see in their lifetime. If any Democrat gets elected, you can kiss the entire judiciary branch of government goodbye for the rest of our lives. With that, will come a never-ending succession of decisions against the Constitution that will cement Democratic majority rule until they finally succeed in destroying this country. Furthermore, a Democratic president for 4 or 8 more years will dramatically increase the likelihood that we will be victimized by a Pearl Harbor type of attack, this time with nuclear weapons. The relatively minor differences, both personal and ideological, between the Republican candidates pale in comparison to the ocean of difference between all of them as a group and the Democrats. We need to stop our petty bickering, and pull together for the sake of this nation. Again, there is no perfect candidate, but any of the Republicans, ANY of them, will be leagues better than any Democrat.

Trump's record is more liberal than anyone else in the GOP field with the possible exception of Christie.

Given a couple of hours to work on it, I think I could come up with a good case that Trump's record is more liberal than Mitt Romney's.

And if it was OK to not vote for Romney in 2012, then.....

Absolutely. Proudly and without any reservations. After the last five candidates that have been foisted upon us by the establishment, both of these guys are simply GREAT!

Right now, I favor Cruz. I would also support Carson, Paul, and all the others down the line, except Trump, who is not a conservative. They say that he is a narcissistic nincompoop, a manipulator, a braggart, a wheeler-dealer, a defamer of the righteous, and a friends of ethanol racketeers like Terry Branstad. (”That is what people say, but I don’t know anything about it.”)

If Trump is nominated, I may just adopt an attitude of serene detachment from politics, and will concentrate on the enjoyment of life, and the preparation for what is to come: the disintegration of the country.

I am also pretty good at figuring out when I’m being conned and when someone is not trustworthy.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////
you left off the end of your sentence.

...why, I am so good at figuring out when someone is not trustworthy that I will stay home and do my part to elect Hillary Clinton and guarantee her 1,2, or 3 Supreme court nominee’s that will forever alter the country that my children and grandchildren will grow up in.

You think Trump will want a second term if he wins? What will be the reaction after all his bluster if he does not walk the walk during his first term? HE WILL BE LED OUT OF WASHINGTON WITH PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES. He is going to do all he can to please his base or he knows he will be toast. For you to close your mind as you have and not leave open the chance that he will AT LEAST be monumentally better than Hillary is, quite honestly in my mind, disgraceful.

I could vote for either Trump or Cruz. Are you listening GOP?

There is no way on God’s green earth I will vote for Jeb Bush, Christie, or any of those other GOPe types. ARE YOU LISTENING GOP?

I don’t care if the Dems run Satan himself. I am not budging on this.

And I didn’t vote for Romney either.

I’ll happily vote for either. Trump is my fist choice. I’m concerned that the NBC issue has rendered Ted unelectable, though:

My respect for Trump went down the toilet when signed on to the agreement to be “bipartisan.”
If Trump actually picks Scott Brown to be his VP, I’m not going to vote for him at all. He joins Jeb, Christie, Kasich, etc.
