How many people on this forum would agree with you if the name in your statement was Bush instead of Trump? And if it would be acceptable to sit out if Bush is the nominee, why wouldn't it be acceptable if Trump is the nominee?

Apples and oranges.
Trump has at least said all the right things as far as moving towards conservative views on important issues likes abortion and marriage. He has met with pastor groups who had glowing reviews of Trump and their meetings.

Bush is staunch in his support of amnesty and blatantly comes across as a weak puppet of the GOPe who would not be much different than Hillary.

Sorry, no it is not. You are just saying that it is different because you like what Trump is saying and don't like what Bush is saying. The people who have opposed Bush and the GOPe have consistently said that if Bush (or Christie, etc) were nominated, then it would be their own fault if Hillary won. Well, I think it is also perfectly fair to say, after the way Trump has trashed his opponents and his supporters keep trashing anyone who opposes him, if Trump is nominated and loses because the supporters of other candidates stay home, then it is his fault, and by extension, his supporters if Hillary wins - not the fault of the people who choose to stay home.

You see, Trump does not "deserve" my vote - no candidate does. It has to be earned. And actually I have been told more than once by Trump supporters that they do not NEED my vote. So they will not have it. Not only mine, but every voting member of my family. Perhaps it will not matter. But I can tell you, after just coming from a thread that had trump supporters openly advocating for Trump to act as a dictator (their words not mine) and to see the Constitution ignored and violate "to restore the Constitution", I really would not want to be associated with a Trump presidency in any way. I won't vote for Hillary, but I won't vote for trump.
