A Trump/Kasich Ticket?
National Review ^ | January 16,2014 | Myra Adams

Posted on 01/16/2016 11:42:34 AM PST by JSDude1

Is Trump warming to Kasich as his running mate after the last debate? If Donald Trump manages to win the Republican presidential nomination (and this is becoming less of an “if” with each passing day), then he must select a vice-presidential running mate. Surely it will be tough for The Donald to share the national ticket with anyone, but at least he will still be on top. With this decision potentially on the horizon, did Trump spontaneously drop a hint about who could be on his veep short-list during Thursday night’s Republican debate?

The answer is yes.

Trump strikes me as the kind of tactician who tacks back and forth, courting some opponents while going after others, then adapting the game to his perceived advantage as coalitions change. Ugh — that sounded disgustingly like the old “Survivor” program, but it has worked for Stalin, FDR, and many others throughout history.

Yeah. Getting sick of it. A Christian conservative family member declared in a FB post yesterday that if DT won the nomination, it would drive her straight into the arms of Clinton.

I was so disgusted, I didn’t reply.

I think he will pick Rubio , actually ?

His spats with Rubio have been rather minor and a bit humorous.
****************************************************************
Well, wouldn’t THAT be special. Pick someone who campaigns on one issue and works to deliver the opposite once in.

Trump, BLESSED BE HIS NAME, could put Rubio in charge of facilitating the “bounce backs” from those who are deported (for 24 hours)—they could be immediately given Green Cards.

If he named CRUZ as a running mate, there would be NO WAY I would not vote for him.

With KASICH?

Nah.....I’d REALLY be nuts to do that.

DEAL BREAKER.

A Trump/Kasich ticket would definitely be to the left of the Romney/Ryan ticket, not that the Trump worshipers on here will ever admit that.

Although... they DO “balance the ticket” better, personality wise (Trump-outspoken loose cannon, Kasich-bland colorless hack)

Trump/Cruz - would set Cruz up to shine for a future
Presidential run. Trump’s gonna be getting long in the
tooth in a few years. I never thought I liked him; but he’s
a damsight better than the Clintons and Colonel Burnie
Sanders!

The way that Trump thinks " outside the box" I wonder if he ends up running against Bernie Sanders - If he wouldn't more likely choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate. She would help him with the ultimate liberal women's vote. She would help him siphon votes away against the Bernie/ Liawatha team. Helping to offset many of the votes he would lose from stay at home Republicans. And he has supported her and donated to her in the past. We know they can get along.

Plus once Hillary loses the Dem nomination, she and Bill would certainly be amenable to merely being Trump's running mate. It still gets them a heart attack away from the White-house, and allows them to continue with their graft continuing to enrich themselves.

And I doubt Hillary being his running mate would really deter MANY of trump's true believer supporters from voting for the ticket.

Of course trump would have to sleep with one eye open the rest of his term. . .
