Obama Slams Charge That He's Taking Away Guns as 'Conspiracy'

President Obama participated in a town hall meeting tonight at George Mason University in an attempt to explain a new wave of executive actions his administration is taking to curb gun violence.

During the forum he was confronted by a rape survivor who said that the president's actions were making it harder for her to keep her family safe. The president also called the notion that he is trying to take people's guns away a "conspiracy."

The president quickly emphasized that he has "respect" for people who want a gun for hunting and sportsmanship, but it "makes sense to keep guns out of hands of people who would do others harm."

Obama and moderator Anderson Cooper pointed out that the National Rifle Association was invited to participate in the forum, but declined to attend. Still, the president said he was "happy" to meet with the NRA to discuss his proposals.

"But the conversation has to be based on facts and truth and what we’re actually proposing, not some imaginary fiction in which Obama’s trying to take away your guns," Obama stressed.

More likely, he is not opposed to starting a civil war, but is concerned how it would end, once the blood of patriots and tyrants alike have refreshed the tree of liberty.

I think the last thing we want is a civil war, but sometimes things are thrust upon people, and they have little choice. I hope it does not happen, but I wonder whose side, many in the military, and police, would end up on?

I’ve been saying for some time that Obama’s real goal is simple: He wants to pi$$ off law abiding, tax paying white people.

Everything he is doing in his last year in office is intended to irritate the people who stand in the way of the socialist revolution. He’s not trying to improve anything. He just wants to make life miserable for those people who don’t worship him and his ideology.

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting and sportsmanship.

The whole purpose of the Second Amendment, as intended by the Founding Fathers, is for the people to have the tools they need, namely firearms, to fight a tyrannical government should one ever come to power.

Since 1962 politicians have declared they are really out to ONLY register all guns. In 1970 some declared their intent to eventually ban guns in the USA.

And WE are not supposed to believe they meant what they said?

Now, suppose just ONE of those politicians, who shot off their mouths about confiscating guns, was elected to a position of power. Just how long would it be before confiscations began!

Note: Machine guns are required to be registered with the Treasury Department, so they know who has them.

As the owners die, these guns cannot be passed on to kin so they must be turned in or CONFISCATED.
The same will happen to regular firearms if given a chance.

People say such things cannot happen. Remember the GOLD Confiscation Act of the 1934?
