President Obama participated in a town hall meeting tonight at George Mason University in an attempt to explain a new wave of executive actions his administration is taking to curb gun violence.
During the forum he was confronted by a rape survivor who said that the president's actions were making it harder for her to keep her family safe. The president also called the notion that he is trying to take people's guns away a "conspiracy."
The president quickly emphasized that he has "respect" for people who want a gun for hunting and sportsmanship, but it "makes sense to keep guns out of hands of people who would do others harm."
Obama and moderator Anderson Cooper pointed out that the National Rifle Association was invited to participate in the forum, but declined to attend. Still, the president said he was "happy" to meet with the NRA to discuss his proposals.
"But the conversation has to be based on facts and truth and what weâre actually proposing, not some imaginary fiction in which Obamaâs trying to take away your guns," Obama stressed.

the guy is losing it. it’s even money that he makes it out of town without coming completely unraveled.
No sale, 0bama.
You lie.
We have no Bill of Hunting.
We have no Bill of Needs.
ITS THE BILL OF RIGHTS.
John Lott: Obama Said 'I Don't Believe People Should Be Able to Own Guns' 7 Mar 2013In his newest book, At The Brink, author John Lott tells his readers what he told Breitbart News in mid-January: when he met then-lecturer Obama at the University of Chicago in the 1990s, Obama said, "I don't believe people should be able to own guns."

The only reason he isn’t “taking away guns” is because we aren’t letting him.
We used to at last pretend that we cared about ChiCom human rights abuses. not so much anymore apparently.
He may say he is not about to take our guns, but if he could figure out a way to do it, without starting a civil war, he would do it in a heartbeat.
IOW, his unconstitutional power grab *is* part of his agenda, and *he* is part of a conspiracy. BFL.
I wonder if the crocodile tears were flowing. Zer0 can cry me a river and put on an act, but he is working against the Second Amendment. And he is making laws that the Constitution forbids him from doing. Under his executive disorder, he can come and take away my hard-earned, hand-crafted guns if I go in for psychiatric anxiety counseling. Zer0 is taking away not only our guns, but our history. Davy Crockett and Buffalo Bill would have had words about that.
Uh, he said the same things about those who said we’d lose our insurance plans.
He said the same thing about our keeping our doctors.
Hello???????
Capt. Obvious....
Bill Clinton pulled the cry act at Ron Brown’s funeral. These alligators with their tears are from the same swamp.
“...for people who want a gun for hunting and sportsmanship...”
Well, I am a hunter... and a good sport so I’m told however I have never used a “gun”. But hunting is an aside and not the reason I would attribute to possessing a firearm, or a bayonet, or any other weapon of war which can be carried, as well as the martial skills acquired to efficiently deploy those tools skillfully to good effect in self defense against a foreign or domestic foe intent on fundamentally changing the United States of America as instituted by the founders. Many have sacrificed blood to maintain our freedoms here and abroad and neither common street thugs nor politicians of any persuasion, foreign or domestic, have the lawful power to override or otherwise limit our natural rights as provided us by our creator at birth and expressed in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. Those documents are a recognition of the existence of those inherent rights of mankind and a warning to those who would attempt to infringe upon them that their efforts will be resisted, as some would say, “with extreme prejudice” should that force be required to avoid harm or enslavement by anyone.
By the way Obama, a gun is generally a crew served weapon of large caliber incapable of being carried by an individual and not likely to be used for hunting wild game and hardly sportsmanlike. Get a clue.
That's close to the truth, in my opinion.
More likely, he is not opposed to starting a civil war, but is concerned how it would end, once the blood of patriots and tyrants alike have refreshed the tree of liberty.
Obama is a bully, and bullys are, when confronted, proven to be cowards. If we did have a civil war, his life and the lives of his families would get very difficult, to say the least.
Actually, to really diss Obama’s tears, compare him with Boehner.
Mr. President, your meme on employment is totally disingenuous. Why would firearms be any different? (This or something like it would make a good line for any of the Pub candidates, but Trump or Cruz might be the only ones who could make it stick.)
