Mark Levin gave a stern warning to both Donald Trump over his recent attacks on Ben Carson and Marco Rubio for trying to smear Ted Cruz on the Gang of 8 immigration bill, telling them both that their attacks are unacceptable to him.
He told Trump that if he continued these reckless personal assaults on Carson, heâd have to affirmatively oppose him.
He pretty much said the same to Rubio, pointing out that he simply canât accept Rubioâs smear attacks on Ted Cruz and that it was his decision to support the Gang of 8 and he would have to live with it.
Hereâs the transcript of his comments:

I see what you see.
The big difference is that TRUMP LOVES AMERICA. Obama hates America and LOVES HER ENEMIES!
What frustrates me greatly is that it’s obvious if people would only take off the idol worship blinders.
People want and need heroes. I get that. It’s human nature. But when it blinds people to the truth we have a hell of a problem.
If we want something different than the path we are collectively on as a country, we have to look at why we are on that path. It’s easy to blame Democrats and they certainly deserve it. However they only do what they do because they are allowed to. And who is allowing that?
The lesser evils we elected. People can bitch all they want about me saying that daily. It does not alter the facts. We elected them because we were told the dem was worse.
Is the Dem worse? No one on earth can prove that when the GOP has given them all they wanted. Abortion, Terror funding. Continuing resolutions. Several rounds of funding Obamacare. We all lived through it all. We all know.
So who was it that told us to elect the very people that campaigned on working with Barry? Who created the fear that the Dem was going destroy the country? It wasn’t the Dem. The Dem does what the Dem always does. It was not those of us that stood on principle and said “If you elect evil, you get evil.”
It was our own ‘heroes’. It was our Rush Limbaughs and Mark Levins and Ann Coulters and the rest. I don’t begrudge them making their money. But I do begrudge them for saying one thing and doing another.
We bitch at Mitch for promising A and delivering B when the senate votes. We bitch at Bhoner/Ryan for Promising A and Delivering B when the House votes.
Should we not hold our heroes to the same standard? Should we ignore their actions I rehashed in prior posts? Not unless we want to be like DU and stick our ostrich heads in the sand and our fingers in our ears, living out some fantasy.
Everyone promised feet to the fire. I have always maintained that should start at home. We need to clean our own house of this crap before telling our neighbor his yard stinks. It might be an unpopular notion but I don’r see how it is anything but age old conservatism.
No, I rarely visit candidates sites.
.
To be sure, the MSM do not sharpen their knives on Trump.
They created him out of whole cloth.
He is their appointed device by which to defeat conservatives in the 2016 election.
.
You’re confused, deeply.
I don’t think Carson ever had a “Christian Conversion.” He wouldn’t be FOR Abortion, nor FOR using baby body parts for experimentation to begin with. I think he had an idea for a good selling book. Even now, he’s more interested in selling books than campaigning. He is unqualified for the presidency. If he is such a great Christian, why is he so supportive of Farrakhan and his Islamist projects?
.
Show us even one instance where Jim has supported Trump over Cruz.
He has never done that. Perhaps you do not understand the man.
The msm does not need Trump to defeat conservatives. Conservatives are all too willing to defeat themselves every 2 years with no matter what/lesser evil voting. And we have proven it several elections running.
To paraphrase Ingo Montoya...
“That word...”Conservative”...I do not think it means what many think it means.”
Really?
Trump's Record on Civil-liberty Issue: (from the Conservative Review)
"Trump has an inconsistent record when it comes to civil liberties. He supported the NSA mass surveillance program but did not weigh in on the recently passed reforms. Overall, he has avoided commenting on religious freedom, but says he would be an advocate for Christians. Trump supports an individual’s right to make unlimited campaign contributions, but advocates for an end to soft money in politics. Most concerning is Trump’s belief that the government can use eminent domain powers to seize private property for economic benefit for others."
Trump supports the NSA’s metadata collection program, saying, “I support legislation which allows the NSA to hold the bulk metadata. For oversight, I propose that a court, which is available any time on any day, is created to issue individual rulings on when this metadata can be accessed.” This position was identical to the NSA’s mass surveillance program before being reformed by the USA Freedom Act. (Newsweek)
Trump has avoided commenting on religious freedom since Indiana passed its Religious Freedom and Restoration Act into law. Instead, he has said that he will be the “greatest representative of the Christians they've had in a long time” if elected president. (Christian Today) (Breitbart)
Trump believes political soft money should be banned, while individuals should be allowed to make unlimited contributions. "If I were drawing a political cartoon to represent the situation, it would include a very large guy with a huge bag of money. On that bag would be written one word: soft. Soft money is the bane of the current system and we need to get rid of it." (The America We Deserve)
Trump supported the Supreme Court’s 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of New London, giving public authorities the right to seize private land for economic development by private investors. Trump said, “I happen to agree with [the decision] 100 percent.” (National Review)
Trump highlighted his support for prosecuting "hate crimes" against homosexuals in his 2000 book, The America We Deserve. “Hate Crime” is a term used to extend special protections for a specific classes and in essence elevates the importance of these classes above others. For example, murder of homosexual or heterosexual should be viewed equally under the law and punished equally. Creating special classes is a liberal tactic used to divide and segment society.(Google Books)
Trump said that Kim Davis should not have been jailed for refusing to issue gay marriage licenses. He also said that she should allow her deputy clerks to do so, but also said that 30 miles away you can get a license so people should do that. He added, "The decision's been made, and that is the law of the land." (CNN)
Much like his stance on eminent domain, Donald Trump has shown a troubling tendency to want to use the power of government to stifle political speech. When the conservative Club for Growth released an advertisement regarding Trump's changing positions on taxation, Trump responded with a legal letter calling for them to cease and desist the advertisements. A chilling move towards the silencing of political speech. (Politico)
Donald Trump attacked SuperPACs (political action committees) in the third Republican debate. By suggesting they should be outlawed he came out against the First Amendment protection of speech, and echoed progressive talking points. (Time)
Never said that.
Perhaps you don’t know how to read.
Stop posting to me if you’re going to twist my words.
Actually, just stop posting to me. TIA
I’d love nothing better than debate this with him personally in public. But he has never shown up before.

Stop posting to threads and I’ll stop posting to you.
I didn’t twist your words, I took the words directly from the post in the “TO” box.
Perhaps you should preview before posting.
Atta girl, Jane. Tell them like it really is!
“Meanwhile incredibly Mark says he admires resolute southerner James K Polk”
I caught that too, Polk being a favorite of mine. I think Mark likes Polk mostly for manifest destiny, which his hero Lincoln opposed.
Mark also champions the need for the states to reign in the national gov’t while idolizing Abe. At least he’s often headed in the right direction despite his sometimes contradictory enthusiasms.
Too bad their absolute disdain for Trump is so blinding.
I guess we can’t agree on everything....
Agreed.
WELL said!
Reagan cheated on his first wife.

He also was a former Democrat.
