Republicans need to make gains with Hispanic voters in 2016, but that reality is complicated by the fact that more adults support Donald Trumpâs hard-line stance on immigration, a new Economist Group/YouGov Poll finds.
A whopping 49 percent of Republicans and independents who lean to the GOP say Trump is the presidential candidate who can best handle the issue â well ahead of Marco Rubio with 10 percent GOP support, Ted Cruz with 7 percent and Jeb Bush at 5 percent.
The divide in the GOP over how to address issues stemming from illegal immigration spilled over in the fourth Republican presidential debate Tuesday. The opt-in, Internet survey was taken Nov. 5-9, before the economy-focused debate in Milwaukee.

That is the issue of this election....get the illegal aliens OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!!!
GO TRUMP GO!!!
Hah! And the thing is, lots of hispanics despise illegals. Every poll that asks legal registered hispanics I’ve seen says so—they try to bury said polls, btw.
Here is the humane, logical, practical solution on solving Immigration Problem and Voter Fraud as proposed by engineer and businessman. Can politicians get it and implement it?

This is the critical issue for me. All other conservative issues will fall by the way side if we allow uneducated foreigners to continue to stream in and become democrat/socialists. These people do not have the same regard for the ideals that this country was founded on. Many of them of Islamic faith have great distain for our values & seek to change this country.
Top on the economy and top on immigration.
Make it a felony to hire one
“This is the critical issue for me.”
The leading issue for me. Go Trump Go
‘Illegal immigration harms no one.’
Wrong. It harms everyone. It chops out the lowest level jobs in our economy. In most middle income areas, illegals who operate gardening companies have virtually eliminated one of the first jobs that youth start out with, that of mowing their and their neighbor’s lawn.
It negates that critical lesson in life, you do a good job, you get paid for it, maybe you turn around and put a little of that money back into the business for a better lawn mower and an edger, and add another neighbor to the mowing business.
It harms others by chopping out all those food service and manual labor jobs that help build character and may spark someone to seek out a better education to get out of that rut - instead they get handouts from the government or live at home until they’re 28.
The costs to our economy is enormous, and will be felt for decades to come. Confiscate, deport, imprison. Refuse to grant citizenship to those who are simply born on US soil to illegal aliens. Cut off the welfare train.
Seriously, even CALIFORNIA gets this, as the electorate in this now deep blue state voted repeatedly to ban bilingual education, ban illegals from receiving benefits, require schools to report illegals who are students, etc. Pandering to illegals gains you zero votes.
Only 49%?
Those opposing illegal immigration typically run in the 70% range.
Even the LEGAL Hispanic immigrants back Trump on this one. The Uniparty candidates are not going to prevail.
Republicans need to make inroads with the MAJORITY of voters, including white voters.
The citizens want the laws enforced and the border secured.
The multi-national politicians want the illegal alien inundation to continue.
Trump did not back down on deportation last night and he smoked Kasich and Bush out as amnesty panderers. Too bad Rubio was smart enough not to take the bait.
On one of these surveys in September Carson drew 3% so I’m surprised there is no headline saying, “Carson is getting traction on handling immigration problems.”
White guilt is the ONLY thing holding this empty suit up. He is wrong on this MAJOR issue and has no clue on how to fix the economy. What else is there? If we get control of these two issues we get our country back.
Control of the border and deportation of illegals is my only issue this election. If that can be done it helps all of the other issues and I only trust Trump to do this.
I support and love all of his positions but this is number one.
Liberals, journalists, and liars (but I repeat myself) intentionally blend "Hispanics" in this discussion. Legal Hispanics, the only ones who can legally vote, support immigration law enforcement more strongly than white voters do. The way to make gains among voters is to do what the voters want, so Cruz and Trump are on the right track. Among Hispanics, it's mostly the illegals who support the Jeb/Obama/Hillary/Rubio strategy of rewarding criminals, and the democrats have a permanent lock on the illegal, fictional, and dead voter blocks.
The poll also found 23% of DEMOCRATS agreed with Trump’s quote:

Good catch!
That is rewarding illegals for breaking the law. They have to leave.
