I tend to agree with Rush on this, but would add that McDonald’s has introduced other processes that make it difficult for their food truly to be fresh and hot on delivery. There is something in the chain that invites cold and stale, even during their busiest hours. I was a McDonald’s consumer almost from their earliest days (and it was Des Plains, IL, not California that saw the chain’s beginning). Their food has morphed into a product that does not leave me wondering why their sales have plummeted.
I think it's failing because more people know it is all those things. It tried to offer decent food, but failed because the LIVs want to eat cheap trash.
Rush is right that McDonalds has had to drastically alter the Kids meals. . . omitting the cheap french fries for more expensive apple fries and other costlier extras for drinks than cheaper soft drinks. . . but I think every one is ignoring the huge donkey in the room. Health care.
Did they have that jerkoff eat McDs for a month and doctor said he was near death.
Well, I’ll be damned. I ate McDs twice a day in my twenties and never had issues.
it’s not healthy food, but it’s not gonna kill you in a month.
i dont eat it as much because i’m not in my twenties anymore.
but i’ve lost a lot of weight the past year and there’s been qutie a bit of McDs in the diet, and not the salads.
maybe it’s just me.
granted, calorie listing has stopped me from eating some things.

or the sample appetizer at Perkins.

Service is their primary problem. Compared to chik fil a it’s pitiful.
There’s really nothing complicated at work here. They abandoned a tried and true formula, embraced all the evershifting trends of the moment and began capitulating to a political party and political special interests in cash and policy, that wanted them put out of business. How could they NOT be a mess?
The only real headscratcher is how it took this long.

My local McDonald’s sure doesn’t appear to be struggling. But then again, we happily ignore most of what the left tells us around here.

What’s more personal that what you eat, and yet the Left wants to control that.
There is nothing wrong with eating at McDonalds a few times per month. The food is good.
Our local McD’s franchise is always clean and the food is fresh - the one near my previous home was the same. Food was fresh and service was friendly/prompt.
However, when I go to many McD’s I am always disappointed with the food and cleanliness.
Employee costs are a major factor Rush does not talk about and they will get worse until more automation is used. They also seem to have too much on their menu and that has to increase waste (a significant area of loss for a restaurant) and overhead.
Trump should buy them out. He wouldn’t have to change the name.
It smells rancid.
We stop to use the restrooms. I wouldn’t eat that food (or any fast food) if you put a gun to my head.
