I don't really know how much trouble McDonald's is in. The ones I frequent always have good crowds at mealtimes. The all-day breakfast menu is bound to be a hit because the McDonald's breakfasts are the best part of their menu.

I tend to agree with Rush on this, but would add that McDonald’s has introduced other processes that make it difficult for their food truly to be fresh and hot on delivery. There is something in the chain that invites cold and stale, even during their busiest hours. I was a McDonald’s consumer almost from their earliest days (and it was Des Plains, IL, not California that saw the chain’s beginning). Their food has morphed into a product that does not leave me wondering why their sales have plummeted.

I think it's failing because more people know it is all those things. It tried to offer decent food, but failed because the LIVs want to eat cheap trash.

How is it that all of the pundits, Rush included, miss the overwhelming increase in overhead added by ObambiCare? All of these restaurants have numerous employees and some of them are full time by definition above the 30 hour statutory limit requiring coverage under Obambicare and those costs are escalating rapidly. Fast Food is a margin driven business. . . and when costs are increased, prices must increase. Pressures are on to increase workers' wages and benefits and healthcare is one of those. Many cities have already passed a $15/hr minimum wage and others have increased the Minimum wage to a lesser amount. . . but Obambicare hits them all for their supervisory cadre.

Rush is right that McDonalds has had to drastically alter the Kids meals. . . omitting the cheap french fries for more expensive apple fries and other costlier extras for drinks than cheaper soft drinks. . . but I think every one is ignoring the huge donkey in the room. Health care.

I actually recall those 15c McD's hamburgers in the early 60's. You could take your girl to the movies and McDonald's afterwards for five bucks.

Well, I’ll be damned. I ate McDs twice a day in my twenties and never had issues.

it’s not healthy food, but it’s not gonna kill you in a month.

i dont eat it as much because i’m not in my twenties anymore.

but i’ve lost a lot of weight the past year and there’s been qutie a bit of McDs in the diet, and not the salads.

maybe it’s just me.

granted, calorie listing has stopped me from eating some things.

or the sample appetizer at Perkins.

we’re taking 1500 2000 calories just for that meal!!

Can’t afford it? Goodness. My family of 6 goes there and walk out spending only 50 bucks. When we go to Olive Garden it is at least 100. I feel like it is the cheapest place on Earth. Lets not even begin discussing movies.......my loan application is in before we go to the movies. lol. It is that crazy 125 typically.
