A former top aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) fired off a series of tweets Monday afternoon explaining why the governor dropped out of the race.
Less than an hour after news broke that Walker would suspend his campaign, Liz Mair a former Walker adviser who was forced to resign earlier this year after criticizing various aspects of Iowa politics tweeted out more two dozen tweets explaining the governor's demise.
Mair blamed the governor's sagging poll numbers less on the anti-establishment political climate and more on a number of strategic miscalculations.

May they both go up in flames.
“Becoming so invested in winning, no matter what it took, that he lost sight of his real identity as a political leader.

Losers do that a lot. Liberals too. Same people really.
I think some people mentioned that fairly often...
“Word is he just avoided getting tied to a very bad story that could well have been coming.
Whats that even mean??”
You need to ask his former campaign worker, Liz, what she meant/means.
Anyone know what that last Tweet is about?
Yeah, while Liz Mair can tweet all her great “advice” which sounds good right now, people need to understand her background.
She’s a pretty liberal pro-immigration consultant who if still on board certainly would not have advised Walker to take positions that we the “base” like.
Michele Malkin hinted at that a long time ago.
Probably about the WEDC investigation. Just a guess.
I hear a lot of bitterness and a lot of I told you so.
It sounds like the paid McCain consultants when they were trashing Sarah Palin. There were a lot of anonymous sources trashing Walker to the media during his short campaign.
The only thing that sounds true is that the campaign focused on donors and fund raising and ignored the concerns of the people who vote.
No first class communication - PR person trashes a sitting Governor .
Her comments are way over the Top and who would ever hire this bitter mess after these non stop diarrhea of texts . Granted , Walker's bitter exit speech trashing of Trump was rather petty and small.
Thanks for the info....she clearly is a far left nutter. Funny thing is...her tweets seemed right on from the perspective of an analysis of a failed campaign.
Love despair.com. (They made me remove mine in my office. No sense of humor.)
Who would hire her? Fiorina, of course. Says alot.
I think Trump, if he’s elected POTUS, will find himself in the same predicament as Eisenhower (or worse). He’ll be treated as an outsider and alienated by both parties to such an extent that it’ll be difficult for him to get anything done. Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were able to overcome their outsider status because they were excellent politicians. Trump is no politician. He’s certainly no Reagan or Clinton. Just my opinion.
Makes you wonder about these rubberhead politicians.
Most of them would not be recognized on the street by the average citizen, at least until they reach a level of fame on the order Trump or Harrison Ford.
Ignore the political pundits and the consultants; they have as much in common with the average American as I do with Bill Gates.
Just sit down in an average restaurant and have a cup of coffee in the morning; listen to the discussion that goes on around them, steer the discussion to politics if necessary and listen to the opinions.
Trust me; there are many, they don’t always agree on any one topic, but you get a good feel for the general feelings of the American public.
That’s the market and voters you must understand and talk to.
Listen to their opinions, complaints, and ideas.
Decide if those thoughts agree with your own beliefs and go from there.
Well hell, LIZ MAIR, why keep us in suspense?
Jeepers, no kidding.
Hiring people who spent a lot to build out a massive operation that would not be sustainable unless financing remained amazing forever. Liz Mair (@LizMair) September 21, 2015
To me this among others is the true danger to presidential candidates. The ‘consulting class’ is there only for themselves and much like others in the ‘elite’ classes they will eat you until you are dead and gone.
“Shes a pretty liberal pro-immigration consultant who if still on board certainly would not have advised Walker to take positions that we the base like.”
Most of the political consultants I have met over the decades in the DC and West coast are liberals.
They deal with liberal mediots and pass their so called wisdom to the candidates re what to say and not to say to get votes in the areas where they know the left wingmediots.
