A post-debate poll finds that Ben Cason has leap-frogged over businessman Donald Trump as the candidate most Republican voters believe will win the GOP nomination.
Rasmussen Reports said that 59 percent of likely Republican voters believe that Carson will end up on top after the primary and caucus season is over next year.
He is closely followed by Donald Trump, at 58 percent. Carly Fiorina at 40 percent and Jeb Bush at 40 percent.

Anyone who thinks Carson is going to be the nominee is on drugs.
I agree with you. The way to figure who has the excitement behind them is to see who is drawing the big crowds. How enthused are they? We know what we see.
Polls can be fixed and played with. Who cares?
I don’t see any huge Carly or ben crowds. In fact most of them have no crowds.
WND is a commie. And a homosexual.
I read in Ras years ago, he admittedly asks more dems than Republicans when he is doing a poll (the way he weights is troubling) so Ras as a establishment guy would not surprise that he weights against Tea Party types.
I actually worry more about a nice calm fella like Ben and the nuke button.
Not because he would be quick to use it, but because he would not. Even if necessary.
How is this over 100%?
And a circus will outdraw a spelling bee.
This merely a prediction poll where the percentages somehow add up to over 200%...I guess you can predict more than one winner lol.
The first real post debate poll came out today and Carson fell all the way down to 12%
Trump 22
Fiorina 22
Rubio 15
Carson 12
all othrs 6 or below.
Perfect reason why common core math is bad. Brave new world where over100% is the norm.
I admire Dr.Carson’s achievements tremendously, and something crossed my mind this morning. He is so soft spoken and laid back -and I wondered if this was deliberate given his past anger issues. What if those would surface again if he had the nuclear codes? He tried to stab his own mother for heaven’s sakes. I know that the Lord can change anyone, but my saintly mother was a devout Christian and struggled all her life with a quick tempter - so, that is why I started wondering about Dr. Carson’s laid back demeanor.
“And a circus will outdraw a spelling bee.”
And it will draw more voters.
My approach to polls is simple.
The only polls worth paying attention to are those done by the candidates for themselves. If good, they will release them. If bad, they will hide them and release fake or modified results.
Anything done for public consumption will most likely have a predetermined result and the method (and questions) will be customized to get those results.
Polls are used not to inform but influence people.
For the most part, they should be ignored.
Thanks.
It seems these folks game one situation or another to fake looking good, then the next day they’re right back where they were.
I don’t think Carson or Fiorina are going anywhere.
They just don’t have what it takes.
Fiorina is particularly laughable to me.
She has accomplished nothing, created nothing, but now thinks she’s presidential. Based on what?
Even if you like her, you have to ask yourself. Why her, when there are good people out there who have actually accomplished something with a good track record?
Makes no sense at all.
The problem with Carson is that he is a nice man with a lot of common sense. But that does not qualify him to be president. Kind of like the sage grandpa who sits on his porch rocking chair dispensing advice. Nice guy to listen to, but you probably wouldn’t elect him mayor.
You have to keep in mind that we are dealing with all 57 states here, and that 200% of Carson supporters think he has as 50-50 chance...
Scott Rasmussen hasn't been a part of Rasmussen Reports since August 2013. He is now president or Styrk.com which he founded in 2014. This poll may have his name but these are not his results.
And a moron will actually find value in that comment here.
The rest of us will just move on.
When your candidate can get more than a few hundred folks to their spelling bee (LMAO), let us know.
I think it’s a shame that you’re being allowed to waste JimRob’s bandwidth, waging your crackpot jihad to destroy Donald Trump (as if you even could).
It’s an abuse of the posting privileges JimRob has extended to you. Your ‘dump Trump’ threads aren’t adding anything of value to this website.
Carson is already dropping in the newest poll since his so so performance in the CNN debate. He has little or no chance to be the GOP nominee.
