A Morning Consult poll, released Friday, surveyed 504 registered voters who watched Wednesday’s Republican primary debate and has only good news for Republican frontrunner Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina. While the poll’s sample size is small (with a 4.4% margin of error), the poll’s trend is worth noting.
In this same poll, prior to Wednesday night’s debate, Trump sat at 33% support. Dr. Ben Carson sat in second place with 17% support. Today Trump enjoys 36% support. Carson is still in second place but with just 12% support.
Trump’s lead increased from +16 points to +24%. That’s an +8% jump.
With their shared status as outsiders, it appears as though Carson’s support went to Fiorina. Prior to the debate the former-Hewlett Packard CEO had just 3% support. She now sits in third place with 10%, only -2 points behind second place Carson.

The polls are being cooked by the GOPe, bank on it. We’ve totally lost what little control over the electoral process in the era of Obama. Nothing you see or read is real, it’s all being gamed.

Even though Trump had the most speaking time, I wonder if there’s any breakdown on when Trump spoke. Seemed like the second half he mostly listened to the others, which would support your observation.
The GOP needs to get over its infatuation with unqualified race and gender token candidates.
It was on FOX but didn’t write details down. He only had brief time after first third. But if you noticed he turned and faced each speaker as they answered their questions
He was so petulant both with Rand Paul and his immature argument with Hugh Hewitt the other day. He didn’t like Hughes’ questions so he has a fit?

I think Carson will outlast Carly. She's going to crash in burn before Iowa, in my opinion. She's just too mean-spirited, too nasty... and to echo her question to Hillary: what are her accomplishments? If you take out her failed job at Lucent, her failed CEOship at HP and her failed campaign in CA, what has she accomplished? Ever? Absolutely nothing.

After the face comment in the article I ZEROED in on her face during the debate. Not one smile. Angry even mean. When she chose a horse as her code name I lost it. She would have been all over a man for suggesting it and immediately connect horse face and play victim again

Trump is weak when out of his element, that element being economics, business, taxes and immigration. On foreign policy he’s still a student and it showed. But what he has going for him there is that he’s a Patriot and a tough one. He’ll learn when he needs to learn it.
Who are these people that go from one person to another over night? Certainly nobody here, at least I hope that`s the case.

I like his “go to Heck” look. It is the same look I’ve had most of my life. I’m constantly pilloried for it because people think I am angry or unfriendly. I’m just serious most of the time. I’m also wary of others for good reasons.
I hope he gives this same look to a whole bunch of people and agencies when he fires their sorry asses.

Yep, pretty much what I expected. Trump to remain steady, Carson to lose about half his support and Fiorina to double hers.
Everyone here knew Carson was going to tank, that support has to go somewhere. For now it went to Fiorina because the press has been hyping her for a week. But it wont last, she will be exposed as the liberal moron loser she is and they will go to someone else.
What ticks me off is that she shouldn’t even have been in that debate, which means if she hadn’t been there Carsons support would have went to someone else, maybe Cruz :(
Secretariat was truly great...Carly far from it. I actually resented her picking that code name.
