Republican pollster Frank Luntz reported wobbly legs after hearing from a group of Donald Trump supporters, according to TIME.
Luntz conducted a focus group of 29 people from Washington, D.C. and its suburbs that either like or adore the GOP front-runner, paying each participant for the more than two-hour session Monday night, the magazine reported.
I used to sleep on my front porch with the door wide open, and now everyone has deadbolts, one man said during the session, according to TIME. I believe the best days of the country are behind us.
Im frustrated beyond belief. I feel like Ive been lied to, a woman said. Nothings getting better.
We know his goal is to make America great again, another woman said. Its on his hat. And we see it every time its on TV. Everything that hes doing, theres no doubt why hes doing it: its to make America great again.
After the group watched recordings of Trump's political flip flops and remarks on women, the individuals reportedly said they liked Trump even more.
You guys understand how significant this is? Luntz asked reporters, according to TIME. This is real. Im having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.
I want to put the Republican leadership behind this mirror and let them see. They need to wake up. They dont realize how the grassroots have abandoned them, Luntz continued. Donald Trump is punishment to a Republican elite that wasnt listening to their grassroots.
Luntz conducted a focus group aired live on Fox News immediately following the first GOP debate early this month, finding mostly negative views of Trump then also the front-runner.
Trump then went to Twitter to attack Luntz as "a low class slob" who "picks anti-Trump panels!"
TIME reported that most people in the room Monday night are angry about national security, including the nation's porous southern border with Mexico, and complained about the U.S. falling behind in the world.
People in the room also panned Congress. But when asked to describe Trump, they used words such as "tough," "successful," "has guts" and "kicks ass and takes names.
2016 will be a year of reckoning for the GOP.
The Post Turtle from Kentucky did. He said he wanted to punch us in the face...
“Donald Trump is punishment to a Republican elite that wasnt listening to their grassroots.
The Republican elite STILL AREN’T LISTENING.
Kick ‘em in the balls and throw them out with the trash where they belong.

WSJ / Paul Gigot: WE MEAN YOU!
The GOPe jumped the shark when buying Black Democrat votes in the MS runoff to re-elect the fossil, Thad Cochran, over the real conservative, McDaniel.
They gloated, along with their bankrollers, the Chamber of Amnesty, that they had pulled off this obvious fraud, but in winning that battle they lost the war. Conservatives abandoned the Republican Party and its Democrat LIte candidates, and would not mind seeing it go the way of the Whigs. Most would vote for Trump as a third party candidate. They have only themselves to blame for their demise.
Great post you made.
Most people are not politically active as you say; they have a life and just want things to get done.
I think Cruz could really get it done; and long term change things more than Trump.
I think Cruz or Trump could pull voters from all sides of the political spectrum; people are fed up with all the self dealing politicians.
You must be talking about the flag.
All in a line of losses and frustrations. GOP lost me a long time ago.
Left them....they left us.
Sorry, I was referring to Thad Cochran’s runoff shenanigans.
Apparently Duntz is the last man in America to figure it out.
Sure the GOP noticed the Tea Party.
Just enough to want to destroy it.
They recognised the Tea Party as the enemy within and instantly started chemotherapy to kill off the unwanted organism.
Mission mostly accomplished.
The GOPE forgot that chemo plays merry hob with the immune system.
Enter Trumpmania.
An organism that is not only strangely resistant to chemotherapy, but seems to thrive on the treatment.
And with an immune system decimated by the chemo treatment used on the Tea Party, there is nothing left to fight Trumpmania.
Having celebrated the demise of Tea Partyitis, they completely left themselves open to another virulent pest.
This one just may kill the patient.
I would say mostly Independent. Many of them hardly vote except during presidential years. All of them are for Trump right now.
Right, that too.
As per directed by FNC and establishment GOP.
They thought they could sink Trump right then and there.
I’m getting a little long in the tooth as well, SE Mom. In Reagan’s time we were a different electorate. We still had some semblance of a national identity he could connect to and we felt that connection.
The electorate today is vastly different, each sub group wanting what is best for them and to hell with everybody else.
Trump calls out to those who know that our best days are behind us if we continue down the PC path to become good global citizens. He is far from perfect ... but his message is needed to stop the PC madness that is sapping our strength.
Low class slob, that right there is why I like Trump.
The Donald has a way with words.
OK, my bad.
The Ruling Class has woefully underestimated the abject FURY of the American people!
If they think Yamamoto AWAKENED A SLEEPING GIANT AND FILLED HIM WITH A TERRIBLE RESOLVE, THEY HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING YET!!!!!
