Appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday, documentary filmmaker Ken Burns told host John Dickerson he believes America is still a racist nation, and those who have questioned the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate, namely, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, have done so as an alternative to using the N-word.

How about this: We split into two pieces, they pick Hillary or Bernie or Joe and we pick Ted or Don? They can import as many Mexicans, Muslims, Africans or whatever as they want and we restrict them.

The gross misuse of the term "racism," and how it was morphed into the present usage, is one of the subtopics in Reality Is Not A Grievance.

Most of us would agree that abusing someone because of their ancestry is wrong; but "racism" is now being used to smear people who have not abused anyone. Their only offense is daring to honor their forebears. It took the Left about fifty years to succeed in trashing the Fifth Commandment on America's campuses; but there is where we are today, in what are sadly mislabeled as "educational institutions."
