Appearing on CBSs Face the Nation Sunday, documentary filmmaker Ken Burns told host John Dickerson he believes America is still a racist nation, and those who have questioned the legitimacy of President Obamas birth certificate, namely, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, have done so as an alternative to using the N-word.

How about this: We split into two pieces, they pick Hillary or Bernie or Joe and we pick Ted or Don? They can import as many Mexicans, Muslims, Africans or whatever as they want and we restrict them.
Obama should be impeached for that alone.
Did Trump ever say anyhing beyond that? I don't know.
Hey Ken. One thing you did not point out in your series “Civil War”, is that the American Civil War was caused by everyone leaving obsolete farm tools lying around.
The Liberal Left: Anyone who is NOT 0bama or Dimmicrat is racist. Got it?
Just get it out there.
This guy is still a thing?
Make ONE popular doc 25 years ago, and he thinks he is just the philosopher king.
Yes, Ken Burns is the poster cherub for the self-loathing white liberal ridden with guilt. A really disgusting, vile, creature if ever there was one.
He hasn't offered a comment? How surprising.
Shelby Foote MADE (a figure of speech) the series.
Civil War great, Baseball could have been spectacular, but was mainly a bunch of liberal singing “take me out to the ball game.” WWII was liberal propaganda.
The man should STFU..
Once again, who cares? Go Trump!
Most of us would agree that abusing someone because of their ancestry is wrong; but "racism" is now being used to smear people who have not abused anyone. Their only offense is daring to honor their forebears. It took the Left about fifty years to succeed in trashing the Fifth Commandment on America's campuses; but there is where we are today, in what are sadly mislabeled as "educational institutions."
Indeed. Only a bigot would make those accusations. A dead give-away.
He reminds me of Mitch Album. Very creative with stories, but tone-deaf as a rock socio-politically, often a hypocrite but blind to his being so.
Maybe a sold soul along the way to a big pay check...
I wonder what Mr. Burns would think if you were to cobble together news footage of black on black killings in places like Chicago and Baltimore and play the main Civil War documentary theme music over this footage?
Whitebread Burns is down with the struggle.
Considering the % of blacks who voted for obama solely because of the color of his skin, I would say he is right.
I thought the Blues documentary program was pretty good.
Using the current Academic Nazi line of thought--the "thinkers" really are not "liberals," in any normal usage--what other possible interpretation could there be? The couple clearly exude something now recognized as "White Privilege."
Or wasn’t that one of his?
