Red States Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday nights debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.
I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015
Well I just dont respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think shes highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing Im not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didnt know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions, Trump said to CNNs Don Lemon.
He went further saying, And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her whatever. She was in my opinion she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere its been very bad because shes been very badly criticized. Shes a lightweight. I couldnt care less about her.

Well it may say something about your attitude if everyone is reacting the same way to you. Most probably believe it’s a waste of time to explain their reasoning with you.
Cruz was my choice but I’m convinced that he can’t defeat Jeb Bush in the primary. It’s not a flaw in Cruz, it’s just the reality of how the GOP elite has structured the primary. But Trump is something the Bushies didn’t plan for and he does have a real chance at taking the nomination away from Jeb. More than that Cruz and Trump had a private meeting and never take shots at each other. To me that is significant.
Trump is bald faced lying about what he said.
I re-watched the debate clip and the one of Trump making up new words in claiming what he said.
If Trump didn't mean Kelly's period he would be telling the truth now about the words he used.
He wont admit he said ‘where-ever’ (which is on video of the debate) because he thinks it will convict him.
The one I heard more convincing is that Cruz is counting on Trump pulling out before the first primary vote and so wants to be the beneficiary of those who say they support Trump now.
Regardless of these polls I don't buy that Trump has a better chance of winning the primary than Cruz does.
Bush has been amassing huge amounts of $$$ and if Trump is still a front=-runner he will crash Trump with commercials of all Trumps liberal positions, much like Romney did to Newt in the first few primaries.

Jeb Bush can outspend Cruz by a huge margin. He can't outspend Trump.
Bush has the money to spend on television commercials but he has little to no experience in that field. Trump is a master of that medium and has in-house staff with years of experience working with him in television.
Trump's past liberal positions carry a lot of weight here at FR. They don't scare the average voter away. Trump has enormous name recognition and is polling well in a lot of traditionally Democrat voting groups.
You don't see the Bushies attacking Cruz. They are attacking Trump. They are telegraphing who they see as the real threat.
You’re just channeling Erickson now. He’s an El Jebbe flunky trying to bring down Trump just like all the other media and party establishment tools by any means necessary.
To the extent that they are attacking anyone of course they will be critical of Trump now given his polls, as are others.
But there is a lot of $$$ in Bush's corner unregulated.
But notice as Kelly has been killing Planned Parenthood with reports on selling baby's organs Trump is going for the feminists vote:
Trump:I would look at the good aspects of Planned Parenthood, and I would also look because Im sure they do some things properly and good for women. I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also, but we have to take care of women, he said. The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should absolutely not be funded.
What line of the budget dedicates funding specifically to abortion?
Trump will be killed with lines like this.
I prefer to believe my lying eyes and ears over Trump.
I saw the videos myself. He is bald faced lying to us.
I saw the debate. Erickson outed himself and his agenda. I know you’re not a Bushie, but you’re aligning yourself with those people if you keep pushing Erickson’s false narrative. It’s a loser and debunked talking point.
I believe my ears and eyes over Trump. I saw both videos of him myself.
He is baldfaced lying.
I didnt ping you to this but #2
Sorry about the double ping, it was a mistake on my part,
We’re not going to agree at all on that first point.
As for the link, the issue with respect to PP is defunding them, and that appears to be what Trump supports. However, why do we have to wait for Trump to do something about it in 2017 ? The Congress could act now and they’re not doing anything under the two gutless establishment weasels, the Weeping Boner and Zero’s Bitch Mitch.
I appreciate our civil disagreement though, Trump is a target rich environment, I cant resist
I been posting that exact text and at least a few here seem to agree that he is defending PP in it , although I see within hours he is saying something different now due to the reaction,
“Where-ever”
No its ‘Whatever’, everything else is lie.
Have you settled on a Presidential candidate, yet ? I defend Trump, but I’m voting for Cruz.
Ozzie Guillen, former Manager of the Chicago White Sox, called a critical sportswriter a “fag” once. He then later claimed the word meant something different where he was from (Venezuela). LOL.
GMAFB is the only thing I have to say to anyone that believes Trump wasn’t talking about Kelly being on the rag. Mr. Straight Talk should own the comment instead of emulating the politicians he scorns by trying to weasel his way out of it.
No, way too early, but I like Cruz, I have had my disagreements with him but I think he could do good.
As we see, anything can happen in well over a year,
“Trump will be killed with lines like this.”
From what I’ve heard this Planned Parenthood statement making the rounds is yet another example of taking an off the cuff statement and extrapolating it into a “gotcha” moment.
I heard a Trump spokesman say that Trump’s position is that Planned Parenthood would have to choose between providing abortions or providing actual healthcare. If it continued doing abortions it couldn’t get taxpayer funding. If it ceased abortions it could get funding.
If it’s true that his position is that PP will have to cease providing abortions or it will get cut off then that won’t hurt Trump. But the credibility of his critics will be damaged for spreading misleading accusations in their zeal to discredit him. Megyn Kelly won’t be the only one thought to be playing fast and loose with the truth.
Have you settled on a Presidential candidate, yet ? I defend Trump, but Im voting for Cruz.”
Exactly my position.
