Red States Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday nights debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.
I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015
Well I just dont respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think shes highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing Im not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didnt know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions, Trump said to CNNs Don Lemon.
He went further saying, And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her whatever. She was in my opinion she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere its been very bad because shes been very badly criticized. Shes a lightweight. I couldnt care less about her.

This. He!! To the Yes.
Yup!!!
The metaphor of blood coming out of her eyes and ears speaks of Ebola sickness. There was a sickness that night. I hope it does not infect the body politics.
I’m not a fan of Trump, he’s no real conservative and would be slaughtered in Novemeber. But I rather liked his answer to her stupid question, we all call people worse names than Trump does, and in private ALL of those people say the nastiest things. To hell with the fake veneer of “civility” the candidates are supposed to have. Only difference is Trump insults people out in the open.
Now Kelly, can’t say I’m a fan of her either, she goes after Walker for allegedly not having a life of the mother exception for abortion and then after Rubio for allegedly (apparently incorrectly) having a rape exemption. Stupid gotcha questions. Rove? No. Rupert Murdoch, he wants Jeb or Kasich.
Thank you so much!
LOL.
Trump will be on the Sunday Shows - except for the one Chris Wallace hosts!
I disagree on his “being slaughtered.” The ones who will be slaughtered are the establishment flunkies (El Jebbe, Stay Puft Krispy, Gary Condit’s Eskimo Bro Kasich, etc.). Trump goes around the leftist media and the political elites to make a direct appeal to the public, and he resonates with them, to the utter horror and contempt of the former groups. Short of his actually pulling out, he appears to be on track to winning the nomination at present.
I didn’t know that!
Thanks again.
I have set those shows to record.
He’s not gonna win the nomination and heaven forbid he does because he would not win the election, his unfavorables are too high. I give he and Rand the poorest chances in a general election out of the whole lot. Romney lost by 4, I’ll not pretend Jerb would lose in a landslide because freepers hate him. Last I saw Jerb polled even with the rats, Walker polled even, Trump lagged behind. Yes, I know, dirty lies of course as are all polls with results we don’t like. Like those 2012 polls that I didn’t believe but they were right.
I’m surprised you’re so favorable to Trump. You’re usually all over con men like white on rice. Walker and Cruz are the serious conservatives in the race, this isn’t 2012 with it’s empty cupboard. It makes a mockery of the situation for anyone to back Trump with those men in the running and I don’t care how many pretty things we like to hear come spouting out of his mouth. His third party musings alone paint him as nothing but a self-serving narcissist.
Yes, I’m angry, I’m angry the spotlight isn’t on the men it belongs on, while people cheer empty words from a man who was pals with the Clintons not long ago. Governor Walker has walked the walked and won reform (and a beat back a coup attempt and won reelection) in a slightly D State. Ted Cruz may be the sharpest man and solidest conservative to run in decades. We have a real chance to put one of them in the White House. I’d hate to see it squandered thanks to Mr. Hair Piece.
“Condits Eskimo Bro Kasich,”
Haha, what? Kasich banged Chandra Levy?
Rush went on air Friday insinuating that the GOP hit job on Trump was done by Kelly and FNC.
Waiting for Rush to call Megyn Kelly a slut next.(He has been on her show before and treated very kindly.)
She asked them all tough questions that the nominee will be sure to be asked. She and Brett, who I really like too, did their jobs.
Trump claiming that Kelly went on an attack mission on him because she was having her period may be the big slip that many were predicting.
Megyn Kelly is NO Rosie O Donnell.
Her show is the best one on FNC.
Trump took on the wrong babe this time.
I’ll say again, as long as Trump remains in the race as it stands, I cannot see how he loses the nomination. With respect to high unfavorables, it won’t particularly matter, since ANY Republican getting the nomination immediately walks in with 40%+ negatives. I think we’re paying too much attention to what the media and political elites are saying, TELLING us Trump is unpopular because THEY want him to be so, not because he truly is. If he WAS, he wouldn’t have the traction and pull that he currently has. He remains numero uno in the primary polls.
Trump, in my estimation has become one of the most remarkable individuals involved in politics in recent decades and has tapped into a gargantuan level of visceral disgust with the political class that has allowed this country to descend to a Dante-esque level of Hell. Add to that, it is clear he doesn’t NEED this. He could walk away from this tomorrow, no fuss, no muss, and return to his business affairs. This is in utter contrast to real con men narcissists like Willard, McQueeg, Zero or El Jebbe, whom have little else in life.
We’ve seen virtually no courageous leaders (who are anti-PC) in decades on the GOP side, just degrees of gutless weasels, getting more and more repulsive by the year (to the point that I can’t seriously consider myself a GOP loyalist, but an Independent Constitutional Conservative). I’m personally fed up beyond description, and it’s why I feel Trump is an incredible breath of fresh air.
We’ve got horrific, nation-ending problems that may simply be unfixable by even our (few) best political figures (Cruz, Walker) and it may require a unique, outside-the-box solution and leader to deal with it, and Trump looks to be precisely that individual. A lot of folks are waking up to that realization as well.
Some folks are saying he is Perot, Part Deux, but Perot’s run was largely borne out of his hatred for Bush, Sr. and he literally panicked into quitting the race at the point when he found himself in 1st place (he didn’t want to win, he wanted to screw Poppy), which showed what a fake he was. This is not Trump at all.
We simply cannot dismiss Trump out of hand and the movement he has built, and the fact that so many people are hungering for a candidate who speaks the truth, bluntly and to the point. If he helps to utterly obliterate the current and massively corrupt bipartisan cabal controlling politics in this country, he will have done us an immense service.
As an aside, I’m still supporting Cruz, don’t get me wrong, but at present, I could cast a vote for Trump in the general election.
Totally disagree. First of all, it was Erickson and Erickson alone who insinuated the “period” thing. He’s disgusting and showed his true RINO colors as an El Jebbe brown-noser (”The most Conservative candidate.” Whut ?).
I watched about half that debate and Kelly was utterly snotty, arrogant, elitist and insufferable. She was a total bitch and completely unprofessional. She made Candy “The Hutt” Crowley look respectable. I think she owed the viewing audience and (most) of the candidates an apology for her behavior.
The quote was :
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,Blood coming out of her wherever.”
This is totally un-presidential.
If he tried this against Hillary it would be a landslide for her.
Trump clarified his remarks as to what he meant (nose), Erickson was the one that “went there.”
>> And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her whatever. “
The true sexism is in the accusation concerning what Trump didn’t say.
I am a Kelly File fan. I DVR and watch is religiously
Her segments on the Little sisters of the poor being persecuted under Obamacare on Birth control and the farming of baby parts by PP (which she did ~ a half dozen shows on) were absolute home runs.
Then was her home run segments on that pizza shop that got shut down for saying they wouldnt serve pizzas at a gay wedding due to religious beliefs..
No doubt her opening on her 9pm show on it really helped generate those donations to the owners.
She made social libs want to crawl under their beds and hide. She beats the crap out of them on their war on wimmin theme.
His classless sleazy personal attacks against her were over the top.
Imagine if anyone said the same against Palin, the howling that would go on here would be heard around the world.
Kelly is fantastic, but I’m having a hard time understanding the “sleazy personal attacks” you made reference too? If it only concerns “whatever”, than that’s too vicarious to be relevant.
One of them went :
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,Blood coming out of her wherever.
Totally un-presedential.,
