NEW YORK (CNNMoney) —Donald Trump might be a presidential candidate mired in an ongoing national controversy, but he still makes time to offer feedback to newspaper columnists.
This time, the scribe who drew Trump's ire was the Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart, who called out the billionaire's "baldly racist xenophobia" in a column earlier this week.
In response, Trump sent Capehart, who is African American, a handwritten note: "Jonathan - You are the racist, not I," Trump wrote. "Get rid of your 'hate.'"

I seem to be in agreement with Cruz on this issue, though admittedly it’s not entirely clear. Anyway, I think Cruz himself sees the difficulty of getting Cruz-by-himself into the WH. The way I look at it now, Trump is the vehicle; Cruz is the payload.
The important thing is that the elites lose control.

Trump hits back and hits back hard and he is multi tasking against different attacks while doing so. What he has done is damn smart. He has invited criticism and then counter punched over and over when criticized. He knows Rove and a lot of other pukes are going to sling all sorts of stuff at Trump. When they do and they will do so very soon all Trump has to do is dismiss it. The harder they hit Trump the more Teflon he grows. This guy are not only business smart he is politically smart, media smart and street smart.
The only way to get Trump off the front page is to not attack Trump at this point. They have to leave him alone but they can’t, it is not their nature and they are going after Trump as if he is a politician who is sensitive to personal attacks or as a politician that wants to be liked. He is neither and the more they throw punches the more media coverage he gets. He has taken over the entire election without spending a penny.
I remember Perot, Perot came off as a little nutty from day one, Trump comes off as a guy in charge and a guy setting the agenda. That makes him look like he is a leader because everyone is following Trump.
What did Hillary say yesterday? Bush? Etc? Who cares. Everyone wants to know what Trump is up to.

Great job on immigration. But we’d be wise to not to fawn over him too much until we know where he stands on lots of other issues.
