July 1, 2015 Macy's is ditching him, NBC has let him go, and Univision refuses to broadcast his famed beauty pageant. But American voters are still entertaining the idea of President Donald Trump.
In a Republican presidential field rich with esteemed governors and senators, tough-talking businessman Trump has managed to rise in the polls to be a top-tier candidate even after he elicited controversy for his statements about Mexican immigrants during his campaign announcement.
A CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday showed Trump had 12 percent of the vote among Republicans and Republican-leaners, second only to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who earned 19 percent. A Quinnipiac poll, which was also out Wednesday, revealed Trump was also tied for second with Dr. Ben Carson among likely Republican caucus voters in Iowa. Carson and Trump each had 10 percent of the vote. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker led the pack with 18 percent.
But with so many qualified Republican presidential contenders out there, Trump's rise is not expected to last. Several pollsters consulted for the story say the recent bump may reflect the entrepreneur's high name ID more than it shows genuine voter support. And at a time when the Republican field is so fractured, with more than a dozen candidates in the race, Trump's low, double-digit poll numbers are enough to fling him toward the top. If he cannot expand his base, though, he's expected to fizzle out fast.

because good people are tired of being called oppressors
I’m confident they are.
But watch for more political backroom spook campaigns. Some folks have a whole lot to lose here. They have no desire to see their golden goose killed.
More to come.
Hypnotism by media repetition?
I am for Cruz, Carson or Walker, (probably mostly Cruz), but I am glad Trump is in it. He says what he wants to say. I am sick of Obie, and sick of all dems, and sick of most repubs as well. I like how he says what a disaster Obie is, and goes after Univision and NBC and Macy’s for supporting illegal aliens. Good for him. I’m sick of almost all of the govt.
He is doing well in polls because he panders to the Republican base rather than pandering to Democrat base like most of the other candidates do.
That was not a political donation. He's a smart guy.
I'm not sure about Trump because he is a showman.
These days voting for anybody is a crap-shoot.
Because people are tired of being sold out by their so-called representatives and would rather fight than give in every time!!!
Trump is a bit of a blowhard and what have you but he will not pull any punches.
In other words he is not a lying full of shit politician.
But he's a conservative, don't you know.
Trump’s polling well because people are FED-UP! with politicians who are letting this country go to hell in a handbasket. And that’s the plain truth. I’m starting to believe that he could be our next president because the level of disgust, disdain and disappointment with this country’s political class is as high as it’s ever been in my lifetime and probably in our history.
We like fighters.
But he has also refused to take a stance on the recent SCOTUS decisions and that is telling.
He was for Single payer and he claims he is for traditional marriage...but other than immigration and fighting Univision and NBC, he hasn’t said much.
Trump is a well known name in the celebrity circuit. The people that watch Oprah, Kardashians, Maury, Miss America contests, etc. would support Trump. He's someone they recognize. To many people it's a popularity contest. Trump has no competition in that sphere.
That's why. I think anyone reading honest poll numbers sees the level of anger that is out there at the pure racial hatred and the sexual radicalism, but the MSM can't report on that because to do so would imperil their support of it. So they stay quiet and pretend.
Trump isn't letting them do that.
Thanks Donald!
“Trump donated to Hillary for President.”
So did Bush, in that he presented her with the medal of freedom award which is worth much more to her candidacy than Trump’s donated. Just saying...
And then, just like they did with Obama, they'll pull someone out of their ______ and Hillary will get on her broom and return to "her world".
I'm betting that the party will soon tell her to feign a stroke...and go home to your daughter. No one wants a grandmother for President.
Because Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho has not yet announced he's running?
