According to a report by al-Jazeera, several American generals are skeptical that Saudi Arabias intervention in Yemen will succeed. A senior commander at CENTCOM claimed the Saudis did not keep the operation secret from American authorities because they feared the Obama Administration inform Iran, but rather because the Saudis feared the Pentagon would dismiss their battle plan as a bad idea and try to talk them out of it.
Military sources said that a number of regional special forces officers and officers at U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) argued strenuously against supporting the Saudi-led intervention because the target of the intervention, the Shia Houthi movement which has taken over much of Yemen and which Riyadh accuses of being a proxy for Tehran has been an effective counter to Al-Qaeda, writes al-Jazeera.

who are we rooting for in Yemen?
Prop piece. Everybody knows not coordinating or consulting with the U.S was a big slap in Obama’s face. And the Generals are all Obama homosexuals and ‘transitional gender’ already.
who are we rooting against in Yemen?
houthis and ISIS slaughter each other? Are houthis a religious group or rebels? is there any legitimate grievance they have? I don’t know enough about the situation.
It is muslims killing muslims...nothing for us to see .....let allah sort it out.
new guy at the deli was talking about Ramadan and the upcoming month of fasting. He came from Kuwait and remembers the war. I felt bad for thinking what I was thinking.
“Generals: Saudi Intervention in Yemen is Doomed to Failure”
Our Generals know a thing or two about failure, so I believe them.
My money's on the Superfecta: pestilence, war, famine and death.
yeah but what’s with Egypt? Is Al-Sisi just whistling into the wind or is thee really this mythical land where some muslims are sane?
I just talked to a childhood friend Friday night who worked at the consulate there and he said there is no good side.
He said that he had relative freedom when he was first there but the last 2 years it has been guards, armored cars, vests and helmets, almost like they were prisoners.
They got most of the staff out in August.
Oh for the good old days when Saddam, Gadaffi, and Mubarak crushed their people so diseases like ISIS couldn’t spread. I KNOW they were worthless animals and did support terror, but nothing like this!! And Saddam was a foil for Iran. Good thing we didn’t do anything to Saudi Arabia after 9/11

lol. This question wasn’t meant as a setup for hysterical comebacks but it worked out that way!
The houthis are shi’ite and the ISIS sunni. Does that help?
So what do we do about this raging, burning region? I have no idea anymore. Friggin infectious locusts. Do we just let our fellow Christians die? Are American servicemen worth their lives? Do we just destroy Iran’s facilities and leave the region to burn? What about when Iran cuts off the straights? I don’t pretend to know nearly enough to have the answer.
Like Obutt’s plans are going so well everywhere. LOL!
What about when Iran cuts off the straights?
My God. Has it really come to this? 19 trillion in debt. Iran getting (or already possibly having) nukes and laughing at us. Borders being overrun. Looks like I picked the wrong time to stop drinking.
