NEW YORK Kraft Foods is recalling about 6.5 million boxes cases of original flavor Kraft Macaroni & Cheese because some of the boxes contain small pieces of metal.
The boxes have "best when used by" dates ranging from Sept. 18, 2015 through Oct. 11, 2015 and are marked with the code "C2." They were sold throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and in some countries in the Caribbean and South America.

Maybe they need to watch Food Factory or Unwrapped to see how it’s done?

Never understood the fascination with mac and cheese. I always saw it as crap food, not really healthy and formulated with cheap, second rate ingredients. Now we have the rest of the story. I have never eaten this stuff.

I used to have an addiction to Kraft Macaroni & Cheese till I realized the fat, calories and mystery ingredients like dyes weren’t good for me.
However, I do have an old recipe for homemade macaroni and cheese that was on a box of macaroni. I still like to make it from time to time. It’s good cheap comfort food. Just have to resist the urge to eat the whole casserole in one sitting.

This sounds snobby, but I only eat homemade Mac and cheese. The boxed stuff is disgusting.

Yes, if you're talking about that dog diarrhea that Kraft produces. Now mac and cheese made with real cheese, butter and cream is a different story.

Me too...the SNOBBY PART! LOL
I have eaten the Easy Mac with the grandchildren and enjoyed the slimy stuff! Not like real homemade Macaroni and cheese!

I’m sure this is causing wide panic in Canada, what are they to do without their “Kroff Dinner”?

WE use extra sharp Cheddar cheese. It’s pretty expensive, like over $5 for a brick...
I’m going to try a batch with regular cheddar with a little Blue cheese added to the mix.
What do youall think?

Ramsbottom, John. 1953. Mushrooms and Toadstools. Collins. London, England. 306 pages, hardcover. An excellent book, you should read it. And I agree, homemade stuff is always better than the canned.

Before we had to go low-carb, that was our favourite mac and cheese. Annie’s makes a great product.
