Never understood the fascination with mac and cheese. I always saw it as crap food, not really healthy and formulated with cheap, second rate ingredients. Now we have the rest of the story. I have never eaten this stuff.

I used to have an addiction to Kraft Macaroni & Cheese till I realized the fat, calories and mystery ingredients like dyes weren’t good for me.

However, I do have an old recipe for homemade macaroni and cheese that was on a box of macaroni. I still like to make it from time to time. It’s good cheap comfort food. Just have to resist the urge to eat the whole casserole in one sitting.

This sounds snobby, but I only eat homemade Mac and cheese. The boxed stuff is disgusting.

Yes, if you're talking about that dog diarrhea that Kraft produces. Now mac and cheese made with real cheese, butter and cream is a different story.

Michelle Obama, is that you?

Because we don't have time to make mac n' cheese from whole milk, real Italian grain macaroni, and 100% real cheese over a stove.

When the crap hits the fan you'll wish you had a box or two.

Never had it as a kid. When I got older and found out how popular it was nationwide, I was stunned. How was it that my mother never prepared this wonderful concoction? Maybe she knew about the metal.

At any rate, I've still never eat any mac and cheese. However, the grandkids love it and ask for it all the time when we eat in restaurants.

I love it. I especially love it with that cheap cheese they use in the pouch but I can’t put milk butter or water in it. I cook the noodles, drain the noodles in the strayer and then poor the pouch in.....thick and gooey. Yummy. I have about 10 boxes that I need to check out to ensure they are ok to eat. I had cabbage and corn beef for dinner tonight or else I might be tempted to have some thick and gooey mac and cheese....lol. I know some don’t like it but I love it and can pretty much afford anything I want with regards to food.

In our early married years while I was in the USAF (E-2, E-3) my wife and I ate mac and cheese and hotdogs about 4 times a weeks. On paydays we would splurge and go to McDonalds for the finer dining.

Surprisingly we still like mac n cheese but now its a choice not the only thing between us and hunger.
