Marco Rubio was on with Mark Levin tonight to talk Cuba and gave the best interview Ive heard yet on Cuba from anyone. One of my favorite parts was where he listed four of five reasons why Obamas new policy toward Cuba wont help the Cuban people, one being based on how Cubas economy is set up so that 90% of all money in Cuba gets taken by the military because nothing is privately owned. Rubio is really quite impressive in his knowledge of Cuba.

This move is a boon for Rubio to get back in the game. Cruz is well positioned, too, but he’s already front and center. Rubio’s entire narrative comes back to play.
The younger Cubans don’t know their history. I remember talking to a Cuban maybe 40 years ago. Nothing good to say about Cuba.
And, does this narrative still include weasel wording to the effect that Immigration Reform contain provisions for some kind of legalization and eventual paths to citizenship for illegals here?
Maybe it’s time to let El Marco out of the doghouse:
In the final vote, the Senate decided 22-74 against Cruz less than half of the Senates 45 Republicans voted with Cruz.
The only Republicans voting with Cruz were Sens. Roy Blunt (Mo.), John Boozman (Ark.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Mike Crapo (Idaho), Deb Fischer (Neb.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), John Hoeven (N.D.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Mike Johanns (Neb.), Mike Lee (Utah), Jerry Moran (Kan.), Rand Paul (Ky.), Rob Portman (Ohio), James Risch (Idaho), Pat Roberts (Kan.), ***Marco Rubio (Fla.)*** , Tim Scott (S.C.), Jeff Sessions (Ala.), Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), Jon Thune (S.D.) and David Vitter (La.).
After having heard El Marco on immigration, I am not about to give him any credence - or a vote for that matter.
Rubio nails it in this interview.
Just listened to it. He sounds pretty good.
Rubio waivered when he first got to DC...made the huge mistake of associating with Burr, McCain and the nancy boy. Few may remember the threats agaisnt him/his family when he turned AGAINST AMNESTY.
All in all I think hi is solid. Some here, like Paulistas, may think different due Rubio being hispanic.
Im suprised at lil dickie burr’s vote...he is a vile POS RINO!
Sorry, nothing Rubio says will make him viable as president of the US. He supports amnesty. If you loves Cuba so much, let him and all the Cubans in the US go back to Cuba, remake his parent’s homeland. They were only given refuge here anyway. Let Rubio replace Castro. I’ll even pitch in for the airfare. But, not, he has no credibility as a US presidential candidate.
Rubio enabled Obama’s unconditional amnesty. Without his gang of eight bill, Obama couldn’t warp his justification of congress not acting...
Well the younger Cubans are not going to remember, they are now Americanized bigtime.
Maybe to some it’s about his stance on and push for immigration. For others it’s about how his push for immigration demonstrates that he has little regard for the constitution and the country and his own sworn allegiance to it
And he joined with the worst of the worst to do it. Those who would and do enable Obama
So sure he can come out of the doghouse but he’s not coming inside. Ever
In my wildest dreams...
And here is a roadmap to replace Boenher as well...
Bad, pre-caffeine typing, SORRY!!!
Anyway, my point is that Rubio supports amnesty. He and his fellow Cubans should just go home and remake Cuba.
It is long past time to end our embargo of Cuba. It was a failure. Criticize Obama for acting on this? In the big picture, no, I won’t. In the details, maybe. But end of day, I really do not care. I look at this as maybe an opportunity to re-engage Cuba, do a reverse boatlift and send home millions of Cubans. Liberate Florida!
Our 50-year policy of embargoing Cuba was a failure. I am sure we will accomplish more in a couple years of normal relations, engaging Cuba AND CUBANS instead of stubbornly trying to isolate them. Isn’t 50 years enough time to realize that the embargo wasn’t working?!
Yes, engage with Cuba and liberate Florida.
