Thomas A. Duncan, who became ill with Ebola after arriving from West Africa in Dallas two weeks ago, succumbed to the virus today (Sunday), reports Reuters. Duncan was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on today after his condition worsened to critical, according to the director of the US Centers for Disease Control.
The Dallas hospital that admitted him did not recognize the deadly disease at first and sent him home, only for him to return two days later by ambulance.

Prayers for his victims.
Let’s see now. Duncan was in a top notch hospital with disease control experts monitoring him and he dies. That was one guy. So the CDC clowns are telling us they have the means to combat this on a mass scale. And Hillary has the figure of a goddess.
Oh my. This could damage the Hundreds of dollars annually that the West African tourist industry generates in America. At least the Democrats are doing everything possible to save this vital economic interest.
Tumwesigve needs to put them on a plane and send them to Washington D.C. for treatment ASAP. This could only help isolate the disease.
I’m sure there is room to set up some hospital beds at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The government better contract out NOW for large scale blast furnaces to cremate the dead bodies.
Who wins the lottery to clean his filthy room?
israelnews sources Reuters, but there is nothing about Duncan dying on their website.
I heard he is not in a negative pressure room.
What he did was a disgrace. He has imperiled 300 million people on our shores. Think for a moment about what he has done to his girlfriend, her daughter, her family and the residents of the complex, many of whom are now showing what could initial symptoms.
There’s no “fancy hoodoo medicine” that can be called a cure. The very best modern medicine can do is to try to buy time for the victim’s immune system to kill it on its own, and quickly, which itself is a long shot at best.
I’ve read and posted that a victim has 7-10 days from the onset of symptoms until he’s dead. If he went to the hospital on September 25, today is day 8 from that. But nine is indeed probably a better number as it’s likely that he didn’t feel fine the day before, then wake up the next day feeling so bad that he decided to go the hospital right away.
No local news from Dallas either.
Are you implying that ebola is an airborne virus?
“Chuck in a truck”
You know, a person could make a fortune by reporting the news in America.
I should try my hand at it. Make a billion dollars.
When I first saw this, about ten minutes ago, I googled Thomas Duncan and got BBC News headline that he died. And another at Huffpo. When I went back to click on the links, they were gone. EITHER it was an erroneous report OR the WhiteHut is censoring the news . BBC is censorable by the WhiteHut?
Because of the time difference, I usually go there first, as they post stuff in the middle of what’s night here, when our own press is sound asleep at the switch.
Who knows how any person will respond when they want to live. We all certainly hope we'd be better.
This was a concern I expressed when they brought the Ebola-sickened care workers back to the US for treatment, and they lived. The message that sent was that Africans are being left to die, and when westerners get sick they're sent home so they can get better. We can't really blame those in sickened areas for being distrustful.
No, but remember when those doctors were flown back to the US and treated? I think it was reported that they were in negative pressure rooms.
Lucky guy.
