What he did was a disgrace. He has imperiled 300 million people on our shores. Think for a moment about what he has done to his girlfriend, her daughter, her family and the residents of the complex, many of whom are now showing what could initial symptoms.
Who knows how any person will respond when they want to live. We all certainly hope we'd be better.
This was a concern I expressed when they brought the Ebola-sickened care workers back to the US for treatment, and they lived. The message that sent was that Africans are being left to die, and when westerners get sick they're sent home so they can get better. We can't really blame those in sickened areas for being distrustful.

This self monitoring questionnaire stuff is for the birds. Desperate people who are facing death do what they can to live, that is human nature. Often at any cost.
That is why it is up to us to quarantine our country from this disease, and not expect others will protect us by not coming over.
