Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.
Hey I wouldn’t mind that
For while they even show old Diana Riggs the Avengers show for while
So, you’re entitled to your opinion as long as you agree with me? Yeah, A^E has gone to the dark side....time for action.
These standard entertainment clauses apply to behavior off the show- like Tiger Woods’ advertising contracts.
Not an expert or lawyer, but A+E’s position seems very weak to me.
Of course they do.
**I think the tough, even macho (if we dare use that term) redneck he-man set are the right population to carry that gospel.**
Like John the baptist: “O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”
Or Jesus Christ: “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”
Paul and Barnabas: “It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.”
And they were addressing religious people! And it wasn’t an ‘uncertain sound’. There are licensed ‘ministers’ all across this nation that are so afraid to tell the truth it’s pitiful. Some obviously don’t even know the truth. Mr Robertson didn’t sidestep the subject. He spoke the truth with love, imo.
Are you kidding me?
The left is really asking for it.
Hmm, Maybe the Blaze can pick up Duck Dynasty...
Amen, brother. There are still millions of God loving, Bible-believing brothers in sisters in the nations. Let us support and help one another as we wage war against sin.
IF the Blaze picks up Duck Dynasty I will get a subscription, just because.
ABCDisney are even more outward champions of homosexuality than A&E and Bravo.
They can go have their collective circle jerk but they are still engaging in a blacklist of those they do not agree with politicallly.
FUCommies.
The Hollywood Blacklist you won’t read about in school textbooks.
Satan has the power that people give to him.
Sodom didn't have the sins and consequences of Sodom to learn from. We did. That makes us orders of magnitude worse.
Put yourself in their place. Would you continue doing the show if it was your dad the network fired? No, you wouldn't. Not if you're made of the same stuff that family is.
Phil might say such a thing to his family, but he'd already know what the answer would be.
Removed A&E from list.
I love this show, but anyone who has not seen this coming has not paid attention to Phil. I told my wife last year that it was only a matter of time until someone asked them “what they really thought.” There is nothing PC about Phil and producers much cringe when Si starts pontificating (I love that guy!).
I don’t think A&E will kill their cash cow and if they do and Phil wants to continue the show another channel will pick it up right away! If not, I wish him and his family well. The fact that this show is so popular has restored a bit of my faith in Americans.
That question will be answered for sure.
..and THEN she had the nerve to put some gay guy spouting junk & vitriol and two others who hardly defended Phil (in part, because Megyn let the gay guy rant and interrupt).
Megyn, you stink!
He was asked his opinion about gays from GQ.
I can bet you 100% he never signed a contract with A&E that removed his opinion of life.
<< It was GOD himself. He HATES FAGGOTS!! >>
Where in the Bible does it say God hates people?
Sure wish I could have sat in Megyn Kelly’s seat tonight.
The angry homosexual guest was sooooo wrong. He said that Phil Robertson should not use Christianity as a veil for his “hate”. The angry homosexual does not know the Scriptures, and, so it would appear, neither did Kelly nor Monica Crowley. Seeing as the angry homosexual was defending his “community” by saying any condemnation of them was not Christian, it would have been nice to see someone use scripture for their defense of Phil.
