The Syria researcher whose Wall Street Journal op-piece was cited by Secretary of State John Kerry and Sen. John McCain during congressional hearings about the use of force has been fired from the Institute for the Study of War for lying about having a Ph.D., the group announced on Wednesday.
The Institute for the Study of War has learned and confirmed that, contrary to her representations, Ms. Elizabeth OBagy does not in fact have a Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University, the institute said in a statement. ISW has accordingly terminated Ms. OBagys employment, effective immediately.
OBagy told POLITICOs Kate Brannen in an interview Monday that she had submitted and defended her dissertation and was waiting for Georgetown University to confer her degree.
OBagys Aug. 30 op-ed piece for the Journal, On the Front Lines of Syrias Civil War, was cited by both Kerry and McCain last week. McCain read from the piece last Tuesday to Kerry, calling it an important op-ed by Dr. Elizabeth OBagy. The next day, Kerry also brought up the piece before a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing and described it as a very interesting article and recommended that members read it. . . .

McCain will say “She may have lied on her resume but she was telling the truth about Syria. Trust me.”
True. The Kagan brothers and their father are Republican neocons so far as I know, though. Nuland's husband, Robert Kagan, was an advisor to McCain and Romney. So, yeah, it's pretty incestuous (if that's the right word) in Washington.
O'Bagy could just as easily have been a neocon as a liberal Democrat, but it doesn't really matter that much, given that party lines don't seem to matter much in that environment.
The way O’Bagy presented her research and her lack of discussion of the extremist elements makes me think that she may have plagiarized a LOT of her work.
I haven’t seen the Hilary, ‘what does it matter?’ graphic on this thread yet.
John Kerry after botox.

(26 year old) WSJ op-ed writer Elizabeth OBagy fired for resume lie
"The lie on her resume certainly was the factor that got her fired. The lack of disclosure that she represents one of the Syrian rebel groups calling for a US attack is more of a problem for Dumb (Obama) & Dumber (Kerry).."
Article and # 80 [on thread, above.]
Then:
Was Elizabeth O'Bagy even a PhD candidate?
26 year old Elizabeth O'Bagy, whose WSJ column was relied on by John Kerry and John McCain to justify Obama's proposed Syria intervention was fired from her job for falsely claiming to hold a Ph.D. degree.
Follow the money. Who was paying her?
Search "AB32 fakery" to see lots of articles about the fake credentials of the bureaucrats behind the bill.
They both O’bonbed it!
OBagy buffaloes OBozo so O'Bozo banishes O'Bagy.
I think O'Bagy was a plant, and they cut her loose before anybody digs deep enough to find out who put her there.
"There is no evidence, but the seriousness of the charge requires that we investigate this."
This may be deeper than you think. O’bagy was working for Syrian Emergency Task Force headed by Mouaz Moustafa. Moustafa grew up in Arkansas and was an aide to Blanche Lincoln. He has strong ties to Washington D.C. and planned the trip John McCain took to Syria.

Bagy looks fairly baggy, as opposed to Obama who just looks fa...tigued....
O’Bagy....
O’Bagy became expendable.
Politico’s headline is designed to lead a casual reader to believe that O’Bagy is a WSJ employee.
That's not botox...that's formaldehyde.
He's Lurch, doncha know.
Would be interesting to track and trace the MB and Saudi/Qatar money into various politico’s coffers like McCain, Graham, Peter King, Obama, Kerry, etc.
I heard Peter King on Hannity today and he was making no logical sense at all. I was literally screaming at the radio...lol. They all must think the American people are stupid enough to buy their crap! I found the whole thing insulting.
These people are behaving like their own lives depend on this war with Syria! Fishy indeed.
