I always say a prayer or two when I see prayer requests on FR. I pray a lot. I believe in the power of prayer.
Well today there is a Freeper who needs our prayers in his fight against cancer.
He is 'hiramknight' here on FR and he is one of my...sorry...he is my closest friend. I have never found anyone who thinks so much like I do. I introduced him to Free Republic and he is someone I can sit with for hours while we discuss and solve all of the world's problems.
Scott is a US Navy veteran and has recently been dignosed with esophageal cancer.
He headed up a team who maintained a wing of Navy P3 Orion sub hunters and also has worked for NASA.
I am in awe of this man and his situation has really thrown me for a loop.
You can read a great deal about him on his FR Profile page.
He is one of the Good Guys and he needs the very real power of the prayers from those here on FR to get through this. Please take a moment of your busy days and ask the Lord to show Scott his power and love and help him expunge this evil from his body. His family and friends need him to come out of this alive.
I admire Scott’s attitude!!! Thanks for the update, and yes, prayers continue!
Prayers offered up to Our Great Physician that healing prayers to Scott.
I was diagnosed in Nov 2011 with bladder cancer. After undergoing chemo therapy I underwent a surgical procedure in March 2012.
After the surgery and subsequent pathology I was declared “cancer-free”.
I’ve been there, done that and proclaim that the “Power of Prayer” has been part of my healing process.
Prayers will continue for Scott as well as his family as they too endure the healing process.
Praise The Lord who is also Our Great Physician.

Dear Heavenly Father, You Who can make all things possible. We pray that our loving brother, Scott, is cured of his ailments. Please, Lord, heal his cancer. Comfort him in his time of stress, strengthen him in his time of weakness, surround him with peace during his battle of this disease. I also ask for compassion and strength for his wife and family. Surround them, Lord, with Your Grace. In This I Pray. Amen.
***BSR.. you are a good friend. He is a good friend to you. For that, you are both blessed. I will keep him in my daily prayers. Please relay our concern, prayers, well wishes and heart felt compassion when you speak with him. Hugs, Mom
Somehow I missed this prayer thread altogether. Praying for your continued healing. Be sure to check out all the later info on cancer treatments too.
Prayers sent.
Prayers up... God’s Love
May the good Lord bless and heal you. You will be in my daily prayers.
Praying for our dear Scott.
Thank you for keeping us informed. Prayers continue...
Prayers up for Scott, his wife, and all who love him.
From one cancer survivor to another: You and your family will be in my prayers, hiramknight. Please know that you are surrounded by caring people keeping you in prayer. Stay strong!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

Prayers up.
Thank you for inviting us to pray for your friend. God bless you.
Praying for Scott.
Prayers lifted
So Scott’s back in Germany now for further treatment? Hope he’s responding well. Prayers continue.
Scott concluded his treatment in Germany and is at roughly a 30% "remission rate" as best I can put it. He has found a place in NY where he can continue his treatments. It will be expensive but a fundraiser is being held for him on Feb. 16th. It is sold out and should go a long way towards helping out him and his family.
Prayers are working!
