Unlike the partys 2008 platform, the Democrats 2012 platform does not specifically mention Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and now Mitt Romney is firing back.
It is unfortunate that the entire Democratic Party has embraced President Obamas shameful refusal to acknowledge that Jerusalem is Israels capital, Romney said in an e-mail to reporters.
Mitt Romney at the Western Wall
In 2008, the Democratic platform stated: Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.
Earlier this year, White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest stated the capital [of Israel] is something that should be determined in final status negotiations between the parties. Id remind you that thats the position thats been held by previous administrations, both Democratic and Republican.
The Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls for Jerusalem to be recognized as the capital of Israel, was passed by Congress in 1995 but has never been implemented. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and now Barack Obama have viewed it as a congressional infringement on the executive branchs constitutional authority over foreign policy.
Four years of President Obamas repeated attempts to create distance between the United States and our cherished ally have led the Democratic Party to remove from their platform an unequivocal acknowledgment of a simple reality, Romneys statement read on Tuesday. As president, I will restore our relationship with Israel and stand shoulder to shoulder with our close ally.
And Jews still vote RAT.
Romney is a Mormon.
Obama is Mamon.
Nuff said!

Of course they do, because most Jews are libs, and their allegiance is NOT to Israel but to liberal ideology
***Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel.***
Till Jesus returns and builds the NEW Temple in Jackson County, Missouri! ;-D
Careful there bub, saying stuff like that here will get you kicked out the door... tread very lightly when describing liberal Jews, for some reason, el-monitor-o is very sheepish...
How pompous and godless are we now that OUR PARTIES decide this????
That Willard is willing to p*ss of the Islamics like Obama never was is reason enough to vote for him this fall.
Just not of Israel, and he also calls it al quds.
Not the Zoinist. They have to vote for Mitt.
Bump for forwarding to my Jewish liberal acquaintances
And that I will never understand.

You know....nobody knows how you voted in the booth....
My bet is a much largeer precent of Jews will vote for Romney and just not say so....you have to be a complete idiot not to see that Obama has divided loyalties about Israel ...
Because they identify with the less fortunate. They also see themselves as victims.
Romney is a Christian.
Obama is a Muslim.

Agreed. Mitt is not all bad, in fact, I am beginning to like him. I think his rhetoric will be tougher than Bush’s, too, not withstanding 9/11.
American Jews care nothing about Israel while American evangelicals are passionate about Israel. We have Jewish friends, so I’ve seen/heard first-hand. The times we’ve broached the subject of Israel, not only do they not care, they’re totally ignorant of the political issues. They shrugged their shoulders and went on to more important things, i.e., Hollywood, vacations, etc.

Socialism is the new Golden Calf.
That’s what they worship.
Sad to say, most American Jews could give a crap.
