The Obama administration is moving toward decisions that would further cut the number of U.S. nuclear weapons, possibly to between 1,000 and 1,100, reflecting new thinking on the role of nuclear weapons in an age of terror, current and former officials say.
The reductions under consideration are in line with President Barack Obama's vision of trimming the nation's nuclear arsenal without harming national security in the short term, and in the longer term, eliminating nuclear weapons.

I used to think that Barack Obama was just a typical far lefty socialist type. Now I firmly believe he is actually anti-American and wants to do as much damage to our nation as is possible.
The Chinese Red Army likely has vastly more nuclear weapons than is currently estimated. And they are very good nuclear weapons that are based upon “stolen” American nuclear weaponry technical secrets. If Obama can possibly get away with it, in addition to damaging the US economy, he will lessen American sovereignty and weaken our defenses in a frightening way. It would be possible for US nuclear deterrence to be reduced to such an extreme extent that China could, realistically, figure they could survive a nuclear exchange with us and win a war with the West.
Let’s get busy folks supporting TRUE CONSERVATIVES who want to be elected to the House of Representatives and Senate to reverse Obama’s destructive course.

Reducing nuclear arms provokes China to adventures in the Far East and Latin America. Remember, there are 3000 Chinese operating the Panama Canal on contract. The British used to do that -- get control of chokepoints like Aden, Gibraltar, Singapore, Suez.

It's been the Commie Left's goal for the longest. The SANE and FREEZE movements were products of Communist Party USA. Their latest "no nukes" campaign is called "Peace Action". Peace Action is headed by Judith LeBlanc, an at least onetime VP of CPUSA. She, with fellow communista Leslie Cagan, also founded the large "anti-war" group United for Peace and Justice.
Obama will claim that we’re “setting an example”. Even I don’t think he’s that naive. He simply wnat to set out to do what he dreamed of doing as a student. He simply couldn’t care less about the consequences ‘cause he think he (and his ilk) will be insulated from them.
Despite the obvious flaws and dangers of such a policy, there will be lot of Americans who will embrace and celebrate such a policy. Including the vast majority of the MSM. Despite what you hear from them, underneath it all they hate America and themselves.

I know that I’m asking a STUPID QUESTION, but does Congress have a say in any of this, or is simply up the president to do it by decree, at least if the president is Democrat?
There are a few things Obama likes to cut. NASA,Defense,Neuclear Arms...Military, border patrol,Medicare....
Then he “redistributes the money to the “poor”
Mostly cronies via fake/failed simulus projects and “free” stuff for anyone willing to sell their souls for a few dollars.
