DUBAI - Iran has threatened to destroy US military bases across the Middle East and target Israel within minutes of being attacked, Iranian media reported on Wednesday, as Revolutionary Guards extended test-firing of ballistic missiles into a third day.
Israel has hinted it may attack Iran if diplomacy fails to secure a halt to its disputed nuclear energy program. The United States also has mooted military action as a last-resort option but has frequently nudged the Israelis to give time for intensified economic sanctions to work against Iran.

I heard on the news yesterday that the missile payloads are under 1000 pounds. As I recall a 1000 pound bomb will not take out a city block. The kill radious is approx 600 feet. He would have to either use hundreds of missiles or a dirty bomb. Iran probably doesn’t have five hundred of these missiles. If iran used a dirty bomb it is TEOTWAWKI for Iran

A single B-52 bomber can carry 32 Small Diameter Bombs (GBU-39)(250lb), each of which will independently glide to targets as far away as 70 miles, hitting with GPS accuracy.
Warhead penetration: 3 feet of steel reinforced concrete.
Typically B-52 bombers fly in formations of three aircraft.
With just these two weapons systems, the Tomahawks would obliterate Iran’s anti-aircraft capability, then our B-52s would, along with more Tomahawks, systematically reduce Iran’s military capabilities.
